Welcome back my Stitchy Friends! We have a lovely sunny 60+F day here in Vancouver, Washington. The sky is this amazing blue which is so nice to look at after a few days of rainy clouds. Still a little too breezy for me, but I sure love looking at the bright blue sky!
I had two finishes this week! That got me a little pumped!
Continue reading “Floss Friday #175”Hello Stitchy Friends! It has been a very busy week and the next week looks to be just as busy. Let’s take a peek at what I have been working on this week.
Just one new start for this week.

I got a good start on the next in this series that I am working up as one yearlong banner. The theme is beehives. 🐝.
The rest of the week I worked on my list of WIPs. I only got to stitch 6 out of 7 nights and some nights it was for only an hour. Progress is progress.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #173”Welcome back my stitchy friends! It has been crazy busy week as I have spent time indulging my inclination to learn. I just love to learn! I haven’t learned any new things about cross stitch this week, just enjoyed the process on making little “x”s.
I only had one new start this week. Starting is always the hardest thing for me. This is one of the reasons I have recently been starting projects that have been on my bucket list.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #171”Wow! I got really hyper focused this week attempting to finish all of my Halloween WIPs. I normally would just work on night on something, but I really really wanted to wrap up these projects.
I considered doing this with my Fall WIPs. I don’t think I am close enough to finish any of them if I want to everything else on my list. Not sure if I will get my November goals posted as I still want to spend some time in the sewing studio today as well. So much to do and so little time (and I am retired!)
Continue reading “Floss Friday #156”Hello Everyone! I am finally home for a while. It feels so good to be home although I had a great time in NYC. If I find some time, I will do a travel post to cover everything I did in September & October. It has definitely been a very busy fall so far. I am looking forward to some extended time at home and to get back to my normal routine.
Unfortunately for all of you, this may be a bit longish. I will try and wrap up all of October since my post on October 3rd.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #155”It sure was a busy September. I was on the road a lot, so I missed quite a few Fridays. I had a great time at the Quilt Retreat at Zephyr Cove on Lake Tahoe. I shared a little more in the To Do Tuesday #156 post.
The latest trip took me to Redmond/Bend, Oregon for a long arm training with Gammill as well as a shop hop one day. Learned a lot and met a lot of great people. The teachers were fantastic! I can’t wait until next year to do it again when I have more experience with my retrofited Statler.

Welcome back my stitchy friends. Wow! It is now August. The summer is just zooming by. It is hard to believe that I have been in my new home four months. In some ways it feels like I have been here forever (because I am loving every moment) and in others it feels like I just go here (tons of boxes to unpack still).
I am slowly getting things together and have developed a pretty good daily routine which includes regular stitching. Meet most of my July goals so let’s take a look!

I meet both my goals for July which makes me super happy. Since I moved it has been quite the struggle to meet these goals. Slowly but surely things are coming together.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #148”Where did the week go?! It has been a busy and hot week here in Vancouver, Washington. Worked on quite a few projects this week and attended a Virtual Cross Stitch Retreat (my first).
I ended up having three finishes and one start this week. One of my finishes were unexpected and one start was unplanned but who can resist a new start?
Continue reading “Floss Friday #147”Hello Everyone! It is so hard to believe we are halfway through July already. Times seems to be flying by doesn’t it? I hope your summer has been fun and productive at the same time. Remember to take time for yourself.
I am still feeling patriotic this week. While I did not work on both projects, I did make time for one of them. We will be checking that out soon, but first let’s visit new starts and finishes.
