Welcome back my Stitchy Friends! We have a lovely sunny 60+F day here in Vancouver, Washington. The sky is this amazing blue which is so nice to look at after a few days of rainy clouds. Still a little too breezy for me, but I sure love looking at the bright blue sky!

Just one new start for this week.
I got a good start on the next in this series that I am working up as one yearlong banner. The theme is beehives. 🐝.
The rest of the week I worked on my list of WIPs. I only got to stitch 6 out of 7 nights and some nights it was for only an hour. Progress is progress.

Continue reading “Floss Friday #170”Welcome back my Stitchy Friends! We have had lots of sunshine here in the Pacific Northwest. I am totally enjoying every moment. How about you? My evening stitching time has been abbreviated this week due to life. I missed one night altogether because I was finishing a book. 📖
I ended up with no new starts or finishes. Although I did spend a day going through all of my projects I had pulled for January to figure out what comes next. I have a total of 4 friendstitch projects from December. I have decided to start three of them this month. Two are quite small and can be finished fairly quickly. They may rollover to February.

No new finishes but I do have one start. I was definitely feeling festive.
I am still playing catchup (again) 🤣 I never posted last week because it was quilt zoom day and then I just … forgot. Oopsie! So here we are making up for lost time.
I have a bit to share with you but first wanted to just let you know I have been on a hunt for the fabric I knew I purchased for the June WIPGO project Field Guide to Dragons. I searched in all my unpacked cross stitch supplies (and realized I am missing all of my 14 ct aida hmmm). Then I realized that I probably had put it in the tote bag of cross stitch haul that still needs to be scanned and organized. I looked in that tote twice. I went to put away some recent haul from 123 Stitch and my new FQS Stitch Quarterly in THAT tote. Guess what I found? Yep, the missing fabric. What a relief!

December 26th was a very rainy day to contrast with today where we have sunshine. The joy of being in California!
I seem to still being have some focus issues this week. I have been reading a whole bunch and being distracted from stitching or quilting. 📚 All is good, I am planning a New Year’s Stitch-A-Thon to work on any WIPS that are on my goals list but might have been slighted during the month of December. 🧑🎄

I was thinking since she now lives in a house instead of an apartment, that lighting would be better. Unfortunately for her, there is practically zero overhead lighting and I wasn’t prepared. Instead of stitching, I was doing.
I shared a lot of the things I did while in Vancouver and all the good food I had in my last post.

Continue reading “Floss Friday #122”Hello Everyone from Vancouver, Washington. It was a foggy day as I drove in this afternoon but whenever there was a gap in the fog, we had sunny skies. I left sunny and bright San Jose with temps of 71F to be here with temps in the 40s. Now it feels like winter and the Christmas season.
