Welcome my Stitchy Friends! It has been a busy full week and I can’t wait to share with you.
Just one this week.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #188”Welcome back Stitchy Friends! Excited to watch the USA play Paraguay in the World Cup tonight. It will be a weekend full of World Cup games and time for stitching. Love it!
Just in case you were wondering. For me a start is when I start a new CHART. Some projects have multiple charts and I consider them a seperate project because I don’t have to stitch all of them. I am doing quite a few series and each is a seperate chart so seperate project even if I decide to do them as one larger project. This thought process evolved to help keep me motivated and keep up momentum.
On the other hand, when I finish stitching a CHART, I am calling it a finish. This is not to be confused with FFO (Final Finished Object) which when they happen for me end up in its own category. I am just horrible about that final step so you don’t see that here often.
With that said, I had a couple of starts this week.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #184”Welcome back to Floss Friday where I share my cross stitch projects. It has been another busy week with life happening left and right. I ended up missing getting any quilting done (until today) as well as missing my To Do Tuesday blog. #sigh. I had nothing to share. Days went fast and before I knew it, it was evening. Still needed to cook and eat dinner, so even my stitching time was abbreviated. I did work on projects.
Let’s start with a WIPGO update.

April was a WIPGO heavy month but short on time to complete those goals.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #179”Hello Stitchy Friends! It has been another busy week. How about you? Lots of appointments and I have two online classes that are keeping me busy! I was thrilled to almost finish my to do list for this week! Let’s check out the cross stitch projects for the past week.
No new starts or finishes this week.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #174”Welcome to 2026! I finished off December 31st trying to make it through my December goal list. Unfortunately, while I worked on EVERY project left, I did NOT make my goals. So I focused on my December WIPGO projects as that is the whole reason to have WIPGO projects. Total win there!
I thought about doing a post for 2025 ending / 2026 beginning WIPs but decided that instead I would create a page for it instead. You can visit the page anytime view the top menu. I did mention I was going to shake things up this year right?
Continue reading “Floss Friday #163”Hello Everyone! It has been a busy week here. I have been working on kitting and prepping all of my fall new starts. I have a crazy process.
First I decide on them. Next I pull threads. If it is a “purchased” kit, I check my floss inventory for used skeins. I update my Excel sheet (Floss Inventory) for number of skeins in the kit and my actual inventory numbers. This why if I have a little kit for something, I know where I can temporarily pull floss from if I need to or borrow until I order some online. I really like how it has been working these past couple of years.
Once that is done, I make sure I have fabric in the kit. Afterwards, I go to the sewing studio to prep the fabric (zigzag the edges). This has been done for all but one of my fall projects this week.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #157”Hello Everyone! I am finally home for a while. It feels so good to be home although I had a great time in NYC. If I find some time, I will do a travel post to cover everything I did in September & October. It has definitely been a very busy fall so far. I am looking forward to some extended time at home and to get back to my normal routine.
Unfortunately for all of you, this may be a bit longish. I will try and wrap up all of October since my post on October 3rd.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #155”Hello from Steaming Pacific Northwest. We are having another mini heat wave here with it supposed to reach 102F (39C). Lucky for us it is only for a couple of days with over 100, then it cools off for the rest of the week in the 90s. Oh yea!
I have continued to diligently work my active wips for the month. Let me share my progress with you.
I have no new starts this week but one finish.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #151”Hello from the Pacific Northwest. After weeks of heat, we finally have a storm coming in. While it will cool things down a little, we will still have plenty of humidity to keep us toasty. I am definitely looking forward to it! I am ready to share what I worked on this week with you. I hope you enjoy!
I only have one start this week and no finishes. But I did kit up one of my starts for next week. I am even considering having a “Start” Day just to work through my remaining starts. Let’s take a look at this week’s start.
Hello Everyone! It is so hard to believe we are halfway through July already. Times seems to be flying by doesn’t it? I hope your summer has been fun and productive at the same time. Remember to take time for yourself.
I am still feeling patriotic this week. While I did not work on both projects, I did make time for one of them. We will be checking that out soon, but first let’s visit new starts and finishes.
