Happy Friday My Stitchy Friends! The week has flown by. So crazy that it is the weekend again. I had a pretty good week for stitching. Only one missed night which is not bad. I did my own Halloween/Fall Athon on Halloween where I stitched a new project each hour on Halloween. Loved it!
Time for the October recap for WIPGO so let’s take a look!
October WIPGO Results

I finished the month with more WIPS than I started with. I had three starts and two finishes in October. The starts were Harvest Tiny Town, Passing Through, and November Square Dance. Finishes were Home Grown and Hark the Bell. AND I had a Final Finish (FFO) – Christmas Tiny Town. In Peggy’s world items waiting for FFO are not included in my WIPs. LOL! 😂🙈
October WIPGO Project #8: 2021 OracleTales Quaker Happy Holidays

I really wanted to just work on Fall projects but this popped up. It was good to work on this one and I hope that in December to finally wrap up this 2021 project. I finished up the tree, reindeer, 21, church, and started the bottom left corner border which is interesting plus some little dots here and there. My goal was to work on this project five times in October. I achieved this goal. Yea. Now back to the closet until December.
October WIPGO Project#11: HOD Merry Moments Ornament Club by Hands on Design

I think my goals for this month was a bit ambitious. Oh well. What can I say, I am an optomist. I had plans to FFO Sweets for Santa and Light the Way which I had stitched earlier this year as well as finish Plaid Tidings ✅ and start Hark the Bell. I barely finished Plaid Tidings. It was more fun to stitch than I thought it would be….. LOL! At the end of the day, if you don’t reach for the stars, then you won’t reach the moon.
A good month!
New Starts & Finishes
I had one new start and one new finish but they were on the same “project”.
Monthly Square Dance by Heart in Hand

I ended up with more time to work on this than I expected so I finished up November square dance and started the December square dance. Just one more night and this should be all done!!! I have been pleased with how I decided to stitch this together. It looks great and is something I can leave up all year long if I want.
WIP Updates
I have a few to share for this week because of my 6 Hour Stitch-A-Thon on Halloween. Some I had worked on later in the week again so it should not be too bad.
October WIPGO #8: Quaker Happy Holidays by Oracle

I shared my months progress in the October WIPGO. I thought about not mentioning it again but I wanted you to see my closeup picture for this week’s progress. This week was the church and the year as well as the tiny confetti and a little more border work. Looking at the closeup, I realized I also started the candles. I think I am actually going to be sad putting this one aside to finish in December. Just have so many fall ones I want to work on.
Passing Through by Hello Liz Matthews

I would have been perfectly happy to stitch on this all day and night on Halloween, but I didn’t. 👻. It was exciting to get so much of the ghost stitched. This fabric is harder to work with than I anticipated. I had to go to a 28 needle because the holes have shrunk. Love the project.
Stitch Quarterly: Pumpkin Pals by Fat Quarter Shop (It’s Sew Emma)

I wasn’t able to get much done in an hour. I focused on finishing the pumpkins on the ground.
Stitch Quarterly: Foxtrot by Fat Quarter Shop (It’s Sew Emma)

I finished stitching the greenery and started on the flower. The fox is done. The tip of his tale is just not showing up well. I am considering outlining it with the rust color from his body or digging through the stash for something else. I don’t get why you can see his chest just fine but not the tail. 🦊
Oakly Acorn by Robin Pickens

I did my hour on Halloween and was inspired to continue working on it this week. I am so close to a finish. This wll be finished one way or the other this month. I love Robins color choices. I would definitely stitch her stuff again. I have seen other projects that people are working on and they have all been so cute with great colors.
November Calendar Crates by Stitching with the Housewives

This was my last stitch on Halloween and I really got into working on the cranberries on the vine. So a few days later I picked back up but this time I decided to work on the tree leaves. The colors are so rich and so fall. Perfect to work on n November.
Plans and Reflections

I need to get started on my November WIPGO projects despite wanting to desperately stitch just fall. 🐿️. I know I can do what I want but then I will be mad at myself. For 2027, I think I may just take a break from WIPGO for the first time in five years. I have not been really into it this year so defintely time to take a break next year. There is just November and December left for this year and I will give it my best and have been giving myself grace for this year.
Looking at my plans for this week, I am thinking I will work on the following:
- Pumpkin Pals
- Foxtrot
- Corny Cruiser
- Start my 30 Acorns pincushion
- Finish December Monthly Square Dance
- WIPGO: Winter Camper
- WIPGO: Summer Stitching Season
- FFO: Sweets for Santa
Plenty to work on. I also have in the sewing room Let’s Talk Autumn pillow to finish. Not much left to do on it so maybe one more FFO this week.
I am at the Relevant Coffee Shop again today working on the blog because I have been very distracted at home this past few weeks. 🐿️
Thank you all very much for stopping by. Comments are always welcome as well as just looking at the pictures. I like to look at pictures too! I know when looking at blogs sometimes they don’t let you post comments for whatever reason so don’t worry about that. I just want you to know I appreciate you stopping by!
Happy Friday,
