Just one final start in March and no starts yet in April. I had only one finish this week and it was in March.
HOD Ornament Club: Merry Moments Collection: Sweets for Santa by Hands on Design

This was released on Pateron in February the first of five ornaments in the Merry Moments Collection with Hands on Design. I realized I had some scrap 16 ct aida and decided to use them for this project. Finally pulled or picked up all the DMC needed for the collection. I just wanted to get started. I was surprised how fast it went!
FINISH: House on Pumpkin Hill by Hello Liz Matthews

I really made a push to wrap this one up this week. I am pleased to share this finish with you. I have no idea how I will finish but I hope it is fun!
WIPs Update
Actually got a lot done this week so excited to share with you.
January WIPGO Project 2: Shabby Winter Calendar by Cuore e Batticuore

Started off April getting some more time in on this 2020 project. I thought I was doing really good then I realized that my border wasn’t going to match and ended up frogging everything I did. I kept pushing until I at least got back to where I started unstitching. Added a litte touch of color here and there as well as working on the border.
March WIPGO Project 4: Snowman Collector: The Postman by Cottage Garden Samplings

I can taste it. I finished the bicycle and have just 400 stitches left and it will be done! I have started filling in all the little mailboxes around the postman. I am enjoying working on them.
January WIPGO Project 7: 2025 SJ Temp Moon Phases by Climbing Goat Designs

At last, I can check this WIPGO project complete. At least the January goal of finishing July & August is done. Starting to see how hot the fall was as we roll into September in April. Hoping to finish through September 15th in April.
February WIPGO Project 22: Calendar Gnome: Mr. April by Charlie’s Needle

I finally hit my 2000th stitch for this one and can close out the WIPGO goal as well. There is still another 1000 stitches left until this one will be done but for April I am just hoping to complete 400 of them.
Plans & Reflections
Feels like April snuck up on me which means I feel like March flew by. I am trying to reset my expectations with my cross stitching. I am just not spending as much of my evenings stitching these days. I am good with that. I just haven’t adjusted my goals and expectations quite right yet. LOL!
I have penciled out April but not firmed it up yet. Currently the plan is to rotate through my WIPS until I get back on track. While I plan to stitch tonight, I am not sure if Saturday will happen as there is a lot to do to get ready for my quilt retreat in Tahoe. I didn’t get to work on any of that today because I spent the WHOLE day quilting which I enjoyed.
Here is my tenative plan:
- Spring Stitching Season
- Spring Basket
- Fruit of Plenty
I hit the road on Sunday nice and early in hopes of missing most of the holiday traffic. Hope your weekend is good and thank you for stopping by.
