Floss Friday #202

Hello my Stitchy Friends! Welcome to this week’s update on my cross stitch projects. Overall, it has been a pretty good week. Didn’t quite get to everything I hoped but not bad.

November WIPGO

November 2026 WIPGO Projects 1 & 16

This month is 1 &16. I can’t believe we only have two more months of 2026. Time to start thinking what 25 projects I want next year.

Project 1: Winter Camper by Bobbie G Designs

Look at that ! Last time I worked on this project was February. I think the goal will be to finish it! Simple but direct.

Project 16: Summer Stitching Season by Stitching with the Housewives

There is less than a 1,000 stitches left on this one. My goal will be to finish stitching.

New Starts & Finishes

I have one of each this week.

START: November Square Dance by Heart in Hand
Start of November Square Dance 10/26/2026

I did not have a lot of time to work on this this month, but it sure was fun to get started! I will put some time in this week and hopefully wrap it up!

FINISH: OCT WIPGO #8: Pateron Ornament Club: Merry Moments by Hands on Design
Plaid Tidings FINISH! 10/28/2026

It felt good to wrap up this ornament. I have the first three of the five stitched. I hope to final finish the first two this week. The Merry Moments is being stitched on 16 ct dubloon with called for DMC.

WIP Updates

I was able to stitch each night this week.

October WIPGO #11: Quaker Happy Holidays by OracleTales

The goal is to stitch five nights in October. This was night four. While I hope to finish this month, I don’t think that will happen.

April Month 2 Month barn by Stitching with the Housewives

It felt weird working on this one after working on so many fall projects this month. I do love the colors for this one and am pleased to almost be done with the barn. I am thinking of setting this one aside next mnth because I still have a ton of fall stitches to do in November.

Crescent City Velaris by Woven Wild Crafts

Slowly I am filling in my second page for this full coverage stitch. I don’t think I have worked on this one for awhile so it felt good to get some time in on it.

Passing Through by Hello Liz Matthews

This is my only Halloween stitch this year and I just could not resist working on it again this week. I am pretty sure that I will do some more time in on it before October is done! I especially wanted to get my first ghost down. This is a pretty big project so I know it will not be finished anytime soon. I am loving how the DMC threads are showing up on the Picture This Plus Woodland 18 ct floss. The only one I am not sure how it will look is the dark green. The holes on the cloth are so tiny that I am having to use a 28 needle. I don’t have a lot of those and now I have used up my stash of this size. I may need to bulk order some.

Plans & Reflections

Wait! I can’t believe that October is almost gone and November is just in a few days. How did that happen? Which means I have not really put any thought into what I am stitching when in November. Off the top of my head, I am thinking:

  • Work on Passing Through 👻 again
  • Start Merry Moments Hark the Bell
  • Final Finish Sweets for Santa
  • Final Finish Light the Way
  • Final time on Quaker Happy Holidays
  • Winter Camper
  • Summer Stitching Season
  • Join in with DotDotGoose Discord group on Halloween to stitch a different halloween/fall project every hour

Everyone have a great weekend. I am off to join my Guild Sit n Sew. I just wanted this to get posted. If you want to see what I have been quilting, check back on Tuesday….
