Welcome back my Stitchy Friends! We have a lovely sunny 60+F day here in Vancouver, Washington. The sky is this amazing blue which is so nice to look at after a few days of rainy clouds. Still a little too breezy for me, but I sure love looking at the bright blue sky!
I had two finishes this week! That got me a little pumped!
Continue reading “Floss Friday #175”Welcome back my Quilty friends! Oh my goodness. The Electrician was here this past week installing more lights in the sewing studio. He only got a third done and I can’t believe how much better I can see. Can’t wait until they finish all of it this week! Let there be LIGHT!💡 Also switching out halogen for led as well as yellow for white. So much brighter. I did not even realize how much I have been straining my eyes. So very nice! Okay, let’s talk quilting.

Continue reading “Floss Friday #174”Welcome back all my quilty friends! I can not believe how fast this week went. I swear I was just doing this quilty blog. I didn’t get a lot of quilting done this week as I signed myself up for a sewing machine class for a machine I was interested in buying. It was two full days and I had a great sewmate. We laughed and swapped stories. I now have a new quilty friend: Loriann!

I got a good start on the next in this series that I am working up as one yearlong banner. The theme is beehives. 🐝.
The rest of the week I worked on my list of WIPs. I only got to stitch 6 out of 7 nights and some nights it was for only an hour. Progress is progress.

Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #174”Hello Stitchy Friends! Another update on what I have been up to this week on my cross stitch projects. Felt like a good week!
I had a couple of starts and one finish this week. Hard to believe we have transistioned into March already!
Wow this week flew by! I can’t believe it is already Tuesday again. My calendar has been packed with “doing things”. Still attending a number of live Zoom seminars on various subjects which are interesting as well as meeting with vendors for my home as I gear up to do some sewing studio basic upgrades such as wiring and lights. Plus some shades for each of the sewing rooms. PNW is an interesting beast with the darker winters and the very light summers. When the sun shines, it is unbelievably blue skies. When it rains, we have some many shades of gray that nature provides that it could teach fabric & quilt designers a thing or two about color.

I only had one new start this week. Starting is always the hardest thing for me. This is one of the reasons I have recently been starting projects that have been on my bucket list.
