Hello from Lake Tahoe my quilty friends! I arrived for a quilt retreat on Friday at Zephyr Cove Conference Center. The weather was forecasted to be cooler. Instead we have perfect 70’s weather with Sunday reaching a high of 81. It is just gorgeous. Love being feed 3 meals a day with no kitchen duty!

Just got back from a trip to Paducah, Kentuckly where I spent three days at the National Quilt Museum. The purpose of the trip was to catch the Tula Pink Exhibit before it ended on September 15th. I tired really hard to miss the hot and humid summer weather in Kentucky. Total fail! It was HOT 🥵 all five days with a 95% humidity and mid 90’s each day. It was like walking in a sauna each day. The weather was very sapping. But I was grateful it wasn’t raining too as originally predicted. Take the win when you get it!
I was so excited to get to the museum and get my first glimpse of the Tula Pink Exhibit. Once I got there, I was pleasantly surprised to find the museum was bigger than I was thinking (but not too big). I made a decision immediately to just focus on Tula the first visit. I ended up getting a membership (plus it supports the museum) and come back for the next 2 days to catch he other exhibits and view again any part of the Tula quilts I needed more time with.
Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #196”Welcome back my Quilty Friends! Still totally enamored with the World Cup. Our Northern neighbor, Canada, did fantastic with advancement to Round of 16. I have on our Southern neighbor, Mexico, on while I work on this blog. So exciting. I wanted to get in a little more time on my projects this last day of June. I had a goal of finishing 10 blocks this month which I managed to do. Surprise!

Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #181”Welcome back all my quilty friends! I can not believe how fast this week went. I swear I was just doing this quilty blog. I didn’t get a lot of quilting done this week as I signed myself up for a sewing machine class for a machine I was interested in buying. It was two full days and I had a great sewmate. We laughed and swapped stories. I now have a new quilty friend: Loriann!

Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #175”It is here. ☔️. The rain has arrived here in the Pacific Northwest. We even had a little sleet yesterday. They said it would snow. I couldn’t see how that would happen. It is just not cold enough. The cool thing about the rain here is the sun often peeks out through out the day. 🌦️ So cool. I even seen the most amazing rainbows🌈

Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #167”Where did the time go? I can’t believe that another week has gone by. I am trying to think what I have done this week. Doesn’t seem like much. LOL! I ended up getting caught up in reading and probably read 4 books this week instead of hitting the sewing room.
Despite that, I did make it to the sewing room once this week and worked one night on my English paper piecing. I will be linking up with Carol at Quilt Schmilt for To Do Tuesday. Check it out!
