Welcome back my quilty friends! I was happy to be in the sewing studio a few days this week as well as going on a Shop Hop with my quilty friend Janet. As happens with most Shop Hops, I spent way too much money. It was fun discovering quilt shops in Washington and Oregon. Found some real gems.

Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #200”Hello my Quilty Friends. I was on the road again last Tuesday. I was attending a Gammill Quilting With Confidence where I made new friends and learned more things! I am definitely feeling inspired to get cracking on my long arm. We had a lot of hands on experience with both the software and the machines this time which was really nice. Last week was my final week of travel (I think) for a while – at least overnight trips. 🐿️ LOL! 😂
Welcome back my Quilty Friends! I had a great week at Lake Tahoe with my Quilting Posse for the Studio B Quilt Retreat. This was our 3rd fall retreat we have attended. Such a gorgeous place to have a retreat. This year there was another quilt group there as well and we wandered by to see what they were working on. I love inperson retreats. I get so much inspiration! I will share more about the retreat a little later.

Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #198”Just got back from a trip to Paducah, Kentuckly where I spent three days at the National Quilt Museum. The purpose of the trip was to catch the Tula Pink Exhibit before it ended on September 15th. I tired really hard to miss the hot and humid summer weather in Kentucky. Total fail! It was HOT 🥵 all five days with a 95% humidity and mid 90’s each day. It was like walking in a sauna each day. The weather was very sapping. But I was grateful it wasn’t raining too as originally predicted. Take the win when you get it!
I was so excited to get to the museum and get my first glimpse of the Tula Pink Exhibit. Once I got there, I was pleasantly surprised to find the museum was bigger than I was thinking (but not too big). I made a decision immediately to just focus on Tula the first visit. I ended up getting a membership (plus it supports the museum) and come back for the next 2 days to catch he other exhibits and view again any part of the Tula quilts I needed more time with.

I went to a cross stitch retreat and got back Sunday. Ended up my guild had a special Sit n Sew Zoom on Labor Day. I spent the whole day in my studio!
It has been a minute my quilty friends. Just to give you a heads up, the next 6 weeks is going to be crazy. I am gone as much as I am home. Hopefully I will get to share some of what I am doing with all of you.

Not much to report in my quilty world this week. My sister was here for most of the week so I never made it up to the sewing studio. I barely got in my normal creative adventures. But I was so excited to spend time with her. Sadly she had to head home today.

Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #189”Hello my Quilty friends! How is your summer going? We have had a mild summer here in the Pacific Northwest (PNW). The last few days have been much warmer hitting a high of 87F. Sitting on my back patio with the breeze blowing, it’s perfect. Hope you all enjoyed your 4th of July. Fireworks started here last week and continued pretty late on Saturday night. Luckily nothing since.
My daughter Caitlin and her husband Jannes were on a backpacking trip to the Three Sisters 🏔️ in Oregon. I had cat duty. I went over on Saturday evening to check on the furbabies and feed them. They were good for the most part. Fireworks were non-stop in their neighborhood. She lives a half block away from a park. I was happy to go home. So happy in fact that I could appreciate how much quieter my neighborhood was. LOL! 😂 🧨🎇
