Quilt Diary: Sunflower Wooly Mug Rug Finish-Better late than never

This week found me wrapping up the sunflower wooly mug rugs which I have been working on for weeks!  It feels good to finish them up but I find myself behind with my schoolhouse wooly mug rug.  I am linking up the Sunflower Wooly Mug Rugs with Capitola Quilter for another third quarter finish in October.  Hard to believe this is my 6th finish for the quarter. See the original list here. Continue reading “Quilt Diary: Sunflower Wooly Mug Rug Finish-Better late than never”

Quilt Diary: Sunflower Finish and July OMG

This post will be quick today as I am only going to talk about what I have worked on in the past few days since my last post.  You add that the weekend is still in full swing and I have not done as much as a normal weekend (yet).  I also have been focusing on finishing my baby rag quilt to take to Halifax on Wednesday.  Here are a few progress pictures and I will post on that hopefully in the next day or two!

Quilt Diary: May Easy Pieced Table Runner Finish!!!

This is my second finish for this quarter which puts me ahead of last quarter already (lol!).  I am excited to have finished this table runner.  This series has it all for someone like me who is a wee bit ADD.  I like to work on multiple things and get bored easily.  There is piecing, applique, embroidery, and quilting.  There was the planning of the colors because I choose not to purchase the kit that is offered (but the pattern is free!)  When I redid my kitchen, my main decorating color has been teal.  I am not saying other things won’t look great, but I really didn’t have any nice table runners, place-mats or anything.  Since I am going to do them, I want things to go more with the chosen gray and teal decor.  This was my second such project. (See Christmas set here.)  Out of my Quilty Box was this gorgeous fat quarters that I thought was perfect.  This fabric line (Moda Walkabout) has been fun with the the stripes.

Quilt Diary: A look back on June and 2nd Quarter and reset for July and 3rd Quarter Goals

Sadly, the only project I finished second quarter was my Strawberry mug rugs in May.  I just can’t seem to be disappointed with all the progress I did make on my projects.  They just didn’t get finished.  I didn’t even finish my June One Monthly Goal with Elm Street.  But oh the progress I have made!  I think Quarter 3 will be a big quarter for finishes.
