I don’t know about you, but my week went really well. I got some serious sewing time and made some incredible progress. Starting with our monthly zoom quilting call all the way through the weekend. There was a moment,

Quilt Diary: 2020 Quarter 2 Finish-Along

Well this past week found me finishing up a bunch of items for the end of Quarter 1. I wrapped up both Blooming Pumpkins and the Halloween wall hangings as well as finishing up the blue pinwheel potholders. That put me at 11 finished projects for Quarter one. Quilt Diary: Updates for February 2020

It has been a very busy two weeks since my last posting. Unfortunately, not a lot of quilting has happened with time on the road and my daughter Caitlin home visiting. She left to go skiing today for this next week. When she gets back, Shaun and I will be at the first round of hockey playoffs in Simi Valley, CA. Let’s get started with the updates. Quilt Diary: February 2020 Goals

Time flies by! It has already been another week. I thought I could update you on what I have been doing this week towards my February goals. Even though this is a big travel month, I do also have some home time. I think it will end up being a very balanced month. My daughter is coming for a visit next week. She is going to watch Shaun play hockey next weekend and come home with us. Then her boyfriend will be flying up and the two of them will be skiing for a week. When she gets back, Shaun and I will be gone to another hockey tournament. Including this weekend, that is 3 weekends of hockey, hockey, hockey. There is only one weekend without hockey and luckily Caitlin will be here.

Quilt Diary: January 2020 Wrap Up

As I begin this blog it is Saturday morning, February 1st. On our way to tutoring (and Starbucks), I realized I haven’t posted for awhile. I’m torn between giving a rundown on everything or sticking to one area. When I do the rundowns, they are such a long post. I keep meaning to have more posts but shorter. #sigh So far that has been a pipe dream. As the title suggests, I have decided to do the rundown on what I have done the past two weeks. We are starting this post making my list for first quarter. I already posted on Instagram (@quiltadventures) on Friday night. Some of these have been on the list for a while. For the old ones, I added them to my All People Quilt Resolution 2020. I will tag those items as I go. Quilt Diary: A look back on June and 2nd Quarter and reset for July and 3rd Quarter Goals

Sadly, the only project I finished second quarter was my Strawberry mug rugs in May. I just can’t seem to be disappointed with all the progress I did make on my projects. They just didn’t get finished. I didn’t even finish my June One Monthly Goal with Elm Street. But oh the progress I have made! I think Quarter 3 will be a big quarter for finishes.

Quilt Diary: Finishalong 2019 Quarter One Goals

It is time to set goals for the next three months with #FAL2019. My host is Capitola Quilter.

I have about 30 Works in Process and it was hard to narrow it down. Last year I would list 9 and then end up working on something not on my list. So typical me! Or start something new. I thought it wasn’t working so I didn’t participate 3rd or 4th quarter. Guess what? I finished even less. New strategy for 2019. List an even dozen of projects that catch my eye to finish. Of course I will be working on random things that aren’t targeted to be finished until later quarters but I figured what could it hurt? I got out my Quilter’s Planner. Made my list.

Quilt Diary: #Finishalong2018 Quarter 3 Goals

Hard to believe that we are halfway through the year and it is time to set the next quarter goals. Made a list and checking it twice:

1. #100days100blocks2018 challenge: My goal this quarter is to stay current. It started July 7th and we are using the 100 Modern Quilt Blocks book by Tula Pink. Must post each day’s block on Instagram. This challenge finishes in October.
