It’s been a typical week. We’ve had lots of hockey practice and running around like chicken’s with our heads cut off but I still managed to have some time to stitch. I’ve even checked off almost everything on my list this week. Only thing left was a Final Finish….

To Do Tuesday #28
It was nice to be home all week. I was able to clean up a (very) little in my sewing studio and start looking at upcoming projects. Of course, starting a new project requires that I finish something soon!

Been a busy week. Not a lot done this week as we took off for Chicago over the weekend for another hockey tournament. I am hoping this week will be a bit more productive.

This has been a week of procrastination in my life. I set myself a task for the week that is hard for me and now it is being reflected throughout my life. But isn’t that what being human is all about. Overcoming challenges.
If I am honest with myself, it has not been that bad. I am just focusing on what I haven’t done instead of what I have done. So let us switch to what I have done this week.

The week sure went fast with the quilt show last week. I still managed to get some stitching in despite all the chaos.
I don’t have as much to chit chat about this week, but it was definitely great seeing all my quilty friends last week.

I wanted to make sure I shared with all of you the best class I have ever taken (and I take a lot of classes both professionally and hobbywise) What can I say? I love to learn.
A few months back I discovered that Cathy from Hands on Design was doing a class in California. I am a big fan and I desperately needed to learn how to finish that stack of 100 completed stitches. After signing up for the class, I must have watched like 10 of her finishing videos and did do my first final finish which I shared in Floss Friday #16 (a pillow).

It’s been a couple of weeks since I posted as I have been on the road with hockey again. This weekend I will be doing a class with Cathy of Hands on Design and Lois of Ladydot Creates. A matter of fact I am in class now when this is posting. I can’t wait to share next Friday!

Hi Everyone! I hope you had nice Labor Day Weekend. We were away at a hockey tournament in Southern California. It was unbearably hot at 115F. At first I was happy to be home until the heat wave continued on here with a high of 108F this week. Today so far we have a cool 95F. I am keeping my fingers crossed we are done with the heat wave. We have more wild fires when it is hot like this. We have been lucky here in California. We have only had a few wild fires so far in 2022.

Welcome to another Friday update on all things cross stitch in my life. Last time I also threw in some vacation photos. I hope you all enjoyed them. Retirement for me was not a planned event so the transition has been a tough one for this past three years. Although, I was not 100% retired until last October. I am not sure if Covid helped or hindered my transition but it surely screwed with my health. On the other hand, it was when I stepped back in the world of cross stitch after 35 years. Today’s world is very different from the cross stitch I knew in college.
