Just an update on the projects on my projects while we are in Long Beach this weekend for hockey.

This is my first weekend home for a few weeks. Looking at my November and December schedules, it looks like I will be home more than not for once. Coming to you from Denver today. On the road for hockey with my grandson Shaun. We are in day 2 of this tournament. We have played so very physical teams and hard teams. We managed to squeak out a win 3 out of 3 games. Playoffs start this afternoon so I thought I would squeeze in a quick post between games since I didn’t post anything on Wednesday. And that would be because Sunday the washer died and I ended up running around all over town to get a new washer and dryer by Wednesday so we could finish washing clothes for hockey. September is here and it is time to linkup with Elm Street Quilts for the One Monthly Goal. I have been thinking about this for the last few days wondering what I should commit to. Thinking about what is close to being done and I just need a little push. I narrowed down to four possibilities: Schoolhouse mug rugs, Blooming Pansies, Autumn wall hanging, or pulling out my Halloween/October placemats. The verdict is: Halloween/October placemats! It is time to pull them out of the closet and finish them up. So I am committing to making four October placemats with my purple, black, and orange kitty fabric. See above for sample. You may have recalled at the end of second quarter finishalong that I was close to many finishes but only one finish. This post will be quick today as I am only going to talk about what I have worked on in the past few days since my last post. You add that the weekend is still in full swing and I have not done as much as a normal weekend (yet). I also have been focusing on finishing my baby rag quilt to take to Halifax on Wednesday. Here are a few progress pictures and I will post on that hopefully in the next day or two!

Sadly, the only project I finished second quarter was my Strawberry mug rugs in May. I just can’t seem to be disappointed with all the progress I did make on my projects. They just didn’t get finished. I didn’t even finish my June One Monthly Goal with Elm Street. But oh the progress I have made! I think Quarter 3 will be a big quarter for finishes.
