To Do Tuesday #189

Not much to report in my quilty world this week. My sister was here for most of the week so I never made it up to the sewing studio. I barely got in my normal creative adventures. But I was so excited to spend time with her. Sadly she had to head home today.

While I do not have anything to share this week, I will still check in with Carol at Quilt Schmilt for this week’s linkup.

Musings

While I might not have done much quilting, us girls took Sunday to do the Hood River Fruit Loop drive. It is a little over an hour away from Vancouver, Washington on the Oregon side of the Columbia River. We only had four stops but I believe there is 20 different places you can stop. Some are working farms, ciderhouses, resturants, country stores, and wineries. Our first stop of the day was Pear Blossom Farms. Dorothy wanted to see their Secret Garden. They had a cute little shop where we got these adorable little vases with dried flowers from their garden. They also allowed you to pick your own live flowers, strawberries, and pears. There may have been more You-Picks. I just don’t remember. We had a great time trying to take pictures of the bees who were having a grand time collecting pollen.

Throughout the day, we had glimpses of Mt Hood and Mt Adams. It was such a gorgeous day. We ended our day at Stone & Stave Winery which has a Lavendar farm also. At that point we just wanted some refreshments and to listen to the live band before heading home.

The cats and I were sad to say goodbye to Dorothy. It was a wonderful week with my sister.

Have a great week. I promise to get back on my quilting horse this week. LOL. 🐿️🙊😂
