Hello my friends! How time has flown since we last chatted. Last week was spent in Garderville and Reno, Nevada with my quilty friends Mary Elizabeth, Toni, and Teri. We had a great time shopping, eating, and just spending time together. We spent a day at the Reno Quilt Festival which was fun. The show was bigger than I expected and I spent way more money than planned. Saw lots of new vendors and some gorgeous quilts.

To Do Tuesday #42
I was feeling a little under the weather a couple of weeks ago. Not actually sick, just not myself which lead to a lot of lazy days reading instead of quilting. But Monday found me back on track and ready to go! So last week ended up being fairly productive. I am splitting my time with my new online course Pattern Surface Design and quilting.

The week just seemed to fly by. We had another atmospheric river storm that started today along with high winds. Thursday was a race ahead of the last storm to Southern California while Sunday was a beautiful day in So Cal, we drove into another storm here in San Jose. Lots and lots of rain this spring. The reservoirs I drove past were starting to hit capacity so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it helps with the drought we have been in.

We have come storming into March here in San Jose, California. We are still having record temperature lows (for us) and storms are rolling in and out of the area every few days. I can only hope that the government is actually keeping the water unlike last time this happened. They let all the water out of the reservoirs due to the fear of flooding and we ended up being in a drought despite the fact we had record waterfall for the year. It has even hailed here multiple times. It is kind of cool to see us surrounded by snow topped hills. Snowfall was as low as 500 feet here. For those of you who are from places with real winters, you are probably laughing at me (I know I would). One of the reasons I love the Bay Area is the fact I get to drive to snow when I want it. I do not want it falling whenever it decides. LOL!

Hello Everyone! It is the last day of February and March is around the corner. It is raining here. We need the rain here in California to fight the drought. It was cool to see our local hills covered in snow. Snow came down to 500 feet above sea level. We have had a rainy cold February. I am ready for it to move on.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
Welcome back everyone! How many of you watched the Super Bowl on Sunday? Or was that a great time for you to disappear into your sewing room undisturbed. I am a sports fanatic so even though I am not big into football (especially when my 49ers were eliminated by the Eagles the prior week), I did have it on while I tootled around the house. It turned out to be a great week for me!

My word of 2023 is ENRICH. I want to spend this year doing things that enrich my life. One of the things that I chose was switching over to a digital planner. Of course, this is a slow process as I am definitely a paper and pen gal in general. I still get my bills in the mail even though I pay everything online. So this is an interesting journey in general. BUT moving my Monthly goals, Weekly Goals, and Daily To Do’s to the digital planner has been absolutely awesome! I love “lassoing” an item I didn’t do yesterday and dragging it to what day I think I will do it. Or duplicating an entry (such as To Do Tuesday) and just dragging it to the next Tuesday. With that said, I feel like this week has been particularly productive. Obviously, I still didn’t complete everything on my list, but I sure got pretty far!
