What Got Done This Week

I just realized when I was searching for photos that there was one day I didn’t take any photos in my sewing stuidos. Sorry about that! I am very excited about getting not one but two whole 6 hour days in the sewing studio this week. So lots done:

  • Not pictured, I machine appliqued green on both my Gnome is Where the Heart Is AND Year in Words – Christmas. Whew, there is a lot of green. I only have red left for the Gnome and it will be ready to bind and hang.
  • Not pictured, I finished prepping the binding for the teal tablerunner. We are finally ready to attach
  • SuperBowl Sunday found me at my sisters where I worked on Queen of Diamonds Block 2-2. Finished my end units, stitched all the stripes together and began making cubes. I also was able to attach all my eyes to the center hexagon. Super productive day!
  • Yesterday was a Zoom Quilt day where I finished more temperature HST up through 75F, which then allowed me to finish my January Cottage. I love it!!!!
  • Continued working on my leaders’s and ender’s project. Finished all the twosies, so started on the four patches.
  • Finished piecing blocks 71-73 this week. I was pretty positive I had cut block 74, but I am not sure where I put it. 🙄
  • Started sewing another Magic 8 triangles for my Sweet Childhood Memories pieced border.
  • I organized my workstation and replaced my needle yesterday as well. Ready for another full day of sewing.

Afterthoughts

This weekend will be President’s Day Weekend and I hoping the weather holds so I can take a quick road trip to Seattle. I have to go through one pass between Oregon and California on the way to Seattle so if it is storming, then I have to abort trip. I am currently getting mixed weather reports. So we shall see.

My grandson finished league play last weekend. His team finished 2nd and will be in the States playoffs in March. This coming weekend they are doing a tournament in LA. His mom is taking him so I can go see my daughter.

I haven’t decided what to do with last week’s happy mail yet, but I continue petting it because it is so pretty.

Everyone have a great productive week. Enjoy!

  1. Peggy that teal batik table runner is SO pretty, is there a pattern you could direct me to? I was the only one in my family rooting for the 49ers and was disappointed for them. Good luck on getting to drive to Seattle!
