To Do Tuesday #70

Welcome to this week’s edition of To Do Tuesday. I will be linking up with Carol at Quilt Schmilt in our sister country Canada. I will be heading there the week before Christmas to go skiing at Whistler. Can’t wait!

What Got Done This Week

Still not hitting the studio everyday. But I had a few inspiring days.

Wasn’t much in the mood to piece most of the week so I worked on other things.

  • Finished binding the Shamrock Ridge quilt
  • Finished appliquing and stitch in the ditch for the Welcome Friends wall hanging.
  • Decided to add a little pizazz to my inner border. I have had it cut for weeks but just wasn’t feeling it. Yesterday I had the brilliant idea to have a little rainbow inserted into the white inner border. Love the results from the first two strips sewn on.
  • Finished up another Daydreamer block (from Pat’s Sloan March Block of the Day with Tula Pink Daydreamer layer cake and solid jelly roll)

While I may not have done a lot of sewing, it was very satisfying and just right.

Afterthoughts

Fall Kitchen Island display

I found these little gnomes my sister gave me last year very fun to decorate with. I love how well they go with my mini-charm fall table runner. Now if only I could convince Nala that it okay for me to have a vase of sunflowers. She has deliberately tipped over the vase twice so far this week. The first time was onto of my laptop. I totally freaked out when I came downstairs and found my laptop sitting in a pool of water. Thank goodness I close the lid every time I get up because Simba likes to walk on the keyboard. My laptop seems to be functioning like normal.

Well I am off to see if I can get something done in my sewing studio today. Everyone have a great week!
