Quilting, Cross Stitch & Travel Adventures
Welcome back my stitchy friends! It has been crazy busy week as I have spent time indulging my inclination to learn. I just love to learn! I haven’t learned any new things about cross stitch this week, just enjoyed the process on making little “x”s.
I only had one new start this week. Starting is always the hardest thing for me. This is one of the reasons I have recently been starting projects that have been on my bucket list.

Unfortunately, while I worked on EVERY project left, I did NOT make my goals. So I focused on my December WIPGO projects as that is the whole reason to have WIPGO projects. Total win there!
I thought about doing a post for 2025 ending / 2026 beginning WIPs but decided that instead I would create a page for it instead. You can visit the page anytime view the top menu. I did mention I was going to shake things up this year right?
Continue reading “Floss Friday #163”Hello Everyone! I am finally home for a while. It feels so good to be home although I had a great time in NYC. If I find some time, I will do a travel post to cover everything I did in September & October. It has definitely been a very busy fall so far. I am looking forward to some extended time at home and to get back to my normal routine.
Unfortunately for all of you, this may be a bit longish. I will try and wrap up all of October since my post on October 3rd.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #155”We have reached the last Friday of the Summer. So hard to believe we are here already. I feel like the summer just flew by! I didn’t really DO anything all summer. My summer was spent settling in to my new home and selling the old one. My San Jose home finally closed last friday. (Yea!!!) I still have one more home to sell in San Jose and I hope to sell it before year end. Hopefully ya’ll have done something way more fun this summer!
September and Ocotber will be making up for being a homebody all summer. First trip is quickly approaching and I can’t wait to see all my friends in person as we attend the Zephyr Cove quilt retreat on Lake Tahoe.

Continue reading “Floss Friday #146”Hello Everyone! I have a few pictures to share from the Honeymooners who were in Grand Teton most of the week but migrated to Yellowstone yesterday. I thought I would share a few pictures with you. They have reported (and I have seen the pics) that they have seen a Black Bear with 2 cubs, a marmot, several different moose sitings, and of course bison. Jannes has never been to either park while Caitlin has been, she was only 6 when we were there last. So… it is an adventure for both of them on their honeymoon. So glad they are having a great time although 30 minutes drive to her house and then back again everyday is getting old. Enjoy these few photos.

Continue reading “Floss Friday #135”Hello Everyone! Sorry about missing last week’s blog. Just had a bad week so this week will be a lot since I did stitch everyday this past two weeks. LOL! 😝 Still working on the move which will be the theme for the next month.
I am excited that I have already started five of the six planned starts for this month and one of the two finishes for March. After a mediocre February, I am feeling good about March. Let’s take a look:
I got a great start on this WIPGO project for the month. I am already 1216 stitches into my 1500 stitch WIPGO goal. Feeling pleased as ice cream over this one. I have been looking forward to starting this Stitch Quarterly project from a year ago. I love the vibrant colors and it is a delight to work on. In just two nights I am already over half done with this project. Just love stitching on this navy aida.
