Welcome to this week’s stitchy update. Other than finding my supplies, things are rolling along with all my cross stitch projects. I worked on almost everything I hoped to this week. Let’s take a look.
While things are slow moving on the quilting front as I find and organize my 50 boxes of stuff, I have all of my active cross stitch WIPS with me. Now I haven’t been able to find my extra needles, my floss stasth, my fabric stash, or my inactive wips, kits, or patterns, that still leaves me with a lot to work with. Let’s take a look at what I worked on this week.
Starts & Finishes
I initially thought I had nothing to share for this category. I already forgot that last Friday I finished a project!
Wow! First Stitchy post of April. This move has definitely knocked me off my creative crafty horse 🐎. At least I did get some stitching done before the move and just this week finally got settled enough to get going again. I have a few challenges since I haven’t unpacked the craft/sewing studio yet. Let’s get caught up!
Hello Everyone! Sorry about missing last week’s blog. Just had a bad week so this week will be a lot since I did stitch everyday this past two weeks. LOL! 😝 Still working on the move which will be the theme for the next month.
Starts & Finishes
I am excited that I have already started five of the six planned starts for this month and one of the two finishes for March. After a mediocre February, I am feeling good about March. Let’s take a look:

I got a great start on this WIPGO project for the month. I am already 1216 stitches into my 1500 stitch WIPGO goal. Feeling pleased as ice cream over this one. I have been looking forward to starting this Stitch Quarterly project from a year ago. I love the vibrant colors and it is a delight to work on. In just two nights I am already over half done with this project. Just love stitching on this navy aida.
Hello from Vancouver Washington! I am still here looking at houses. This house hunting as sucked up all my time each day so there has been no time since I got here on Tuesday to do any stitching. But lucky for you, I still have stuff to share this week.
Hello Everyone! Hope you have fun plans for the weekend. I am just checking in with this week’s eye candy and plans for the upcoming week. The weather here in Nor Cal has definitely cooled off but still balmy compared to the rest of the country.
February WIPGO
WIPGO February 2025: Projects 7 & 8
Numbers have been pulled for February and I am in the process of prepping for February projects. Our pull for February are 7 & 8. Let’s take a look at what those projects will be for me.
Hope Everyone had an awesome Christmas Holiday (and any other holiday you celebrate at this time of year.)
December 26th was a very rainy day to contrast with today where we have sunshine. The joy of being in California!
I seem to still being have some focus issues this week. I have been reading a whole bunch and being distracted from stitching or quilting. 📚 All is good, I am planning a New Year’s Stitch-A-Thon to work on any WIPS that are on my goals list but might have been slighted during the month of December. 🧑🎄
Hello Everyone from Vancouver, Washington. It was a foggy day as I drove in this afternoon but whenever there was a gap in the fog, we had sunny skies. I left sunny and bright San Jose with temps of 71F to be here with temps in the 40s. Now it feels like winter and the Christmas season.
Let’s take a look at what cross stitch projects I worked on this week as well as how November WIPGO wrapped up.
Hope everyone had a great American Thanksgiving. I am still in food coma mode. How about you? It was great to spend some time with my sister and her family this year. So very nice. Food was fabulous as well as the company. Now I am ready to settle into the Christmas season with Christmas less than 4 weeks away. Ready. Set. GO!
Starts & Finishes
So exciting that this week I finished two and started three. I was relieved that I was able to wrap up these small projects.
Welcome to this weeks update on all the cross stitch projects I worked on this week. The atmospheric river is showing its teeth here in San Jose. We have been pretty lucky that we are just on the edge of the storm. Yesterday they were predicting 5 inches now it just 1 inch of rain. Thank you weather gods. On the other hand, weather like this makes me want to curl up with a good book.
LOL! Of course I have been doing that all week because I wasn’t feeling well. Since Monday I read two books already – Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. I couldn’t put them down. They are fantasy books. I like all kinds of genre but it has been a while since I literally couldn’t but the book down. I love reading and probably ready 4-5 books a week. Those are you average book sizes. While it is hard to tell how big these books are, I am guessing they are the 1000+ books. That could be an interesting blog. A weekly blog on what I am reading. No. No one would care about that. Plus I just read too much. Before these two, I finished up a 15 book series in about 2 weeks. That was … I am not sure what they call they genre. I think of it as military romance action books. Like I said, all genres.
