Quilting, Cross Stitch & Travel Adventures
Hello My Stitchy Friends from Vancouver, Washington. I stopped for the night on my way to Seattle, Washington Tuesday night. I stayed along the Columbia River. It was a beautiful night along the waterfront.

Welcome to this week’s edition of all things cross stitchy. I spent the last three days attending a virtual conference on my latest hobby of surface pattern design. It was fun but would have been more fun in person. Got some great new ideas and some encouragement that I am headed in the right direction. This surface pattern design journey reminds me of my quilting or cross stitch journey. So much information, so much enthusiasm, a so little courage to go for it. 😂
Moving on to what I worked on this week. I ended up taking last night off but I still worked on a number of projects this past week. Let’s check it out.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #97”Welcome Back! Once again I will be linking this post with Carol over at Quilt Schmilt. Thank you Carol for hosting To Do Tuesday! If you have not already, come join us or just take a look around at all the great projects. While most of the projects are quilty, they can be anything.

Hi Everyone! It has been a crazy week like usual. I keep waiting for a boring week and it just never comes. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Who knows. It is just life. I really wouldn’t change a thing!
As you all know, I was in Seattle last weekend. I got to see my brother Scott. We were trying to pinpoint the last time we SAW each other and we think it was the summer of 2022. Meanwhile, we do talk often as well as having several group chats with different members of the family. I just love how connected we stay. Oh and he is great at enabling me with my interests. He was fascinated with my current class – Immersion 2024 which is a surface pattern design class using Adobe Illustrator.
Let’s take a look at all my stitchy projects from this week.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #86”Hi Everyone! This don’t have much this week. I have been very busy working on my homework for my online course with Bonnie Christine – Immersion 2024 for Surface Pattern Design.
I will be linking up with Carol @ Quilt Schmilt for To Do Tuesday this week. Check out her website and the linkup. Some great projects are shared.
Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #87”Hi Everyone! We have a few dry moments today between winter storms. We are getting lots of rain which is good. Not sure if it is snow in the mountains because it is a warm rain here. So I am enjoying it. February historically is our coldest and wettest month of the year. Will it be this year?
Continue reading “Floss Friday #76”Hi Everyone! Can’t believe there is only a few months left of 2023. Wow! The year has flown by just like this week. I will be linking up with Carol over at Quilt Schmilt again this week. Let’s get to it!
Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #69”Hello my Friends! Hope this Tuesday finds you well. We have slipped into fall one of my favorite times of the year. Indian summer is so much better than almost any time of the year for me. The sun is shining. It is usually high 70’s here in San Jose. Days are still long enough. Just love this time of year!
I got back from Denver Sunday. The weather was fair while we were there but Thursday our flight was delayed due to thunderstorms. Travel is still such a mess post-covid. I was lucky enough to still get my rental car even after my flight was delayed. Some people had to wait for two or three hours for a vehicle. I felt lucky we got to the hotel by 2am. We had to be at the rink by 7am and it was a 30 minute drive. We survived. LOL! Teenagers are so reslilent.
Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #62”Hi Everyone! My name is Simba. I am my mom’s favorite cat, at least that is what she says. Well maybe she says I am her favorite boy. Anyway, she is letting me write today’s post because she is not feeling very creative today and wanted a break.
Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #58”Welcome to another edition of Floss Friday. It has been fairly productive week with a little catch up on the menu. Let’s take a look.
I was very pleased to wrapup my planned finishes this month.
