To Do Tuesday #69

Hi Everyone! Can’t believe there is only a few months left of 2023. Wow! The year has flown by just like this week. I will be linking up with Carol over at Quilt Schmilt again this week. Let’s get to it!

What Got Done This Week

I was thinking I really didn’t get much done until I was browsing my photos from the week. Then I realized that I actually did a lot but didn’t even get photos of everything. Since I am at Starbucks typing this blog, there is no opportunity to show you this week.

I only sewed a few days this week. I have no idea why other than I just didn’t.

  • I started a new applique banner called Year in Words – Christmas by Shabby Fabrics. This series has a bunch of pieced blocks and I finished those this week.
  • Also started another applique banner by sewing the background together called Blooming Series – Pointsettas by Shabby Fabrics (not shown)
  • I finished assembling row 6 of Dorothy’s quilt (not shown)
  • I spent most of my time working on the last three blocks I needed to assemble for the Sweet Childhood Memories quilt – blocks 14, 16, & 17. I love all 3, but #14 is my favorite!
  • I was able to assemble a complete block for my leaders and enders project after finishing all the units for March Block of the Day – Daydreamer.

When I sat down to write this update, I hadn’t felt like I did much. But once I actually looked, Wow! I finished way more than I thought.

Afterthoughts

Nala (foreground) Simba (background)

I’m not sure how that just happened? How did my WIP list just add two more projects? Oh wait, I have a hard time NOT starting projects. I have so many close to being done. I think I would like to check off a few projects that are ready to be quilted as well but I am NOT adding them to my To Do List here. I have a list of quilts ready to quilt somewhere else. Just need to start checking them off. LOL!

My fluff balls have been very helpful this week. Both have been big nags about where they want me. When I was in the sewing studio this week, Nala was nipping at me to leave. It was not where she wanted me. haha.

Thanks for stopping by to check everything out. Have a great week!
