Happy Fourth of July from USA! May we have many more.

I am thankful that it is not 100F like it was last year here in Vancouver, Washington. I am enjoying a quite day. The kids are camping and I am here at Starbucks working on this blog for you. Afterwards, I plan to go home and sit out on my patio to enjoy a good book? How about you?

Floss Friday #143

I am still playing catchup (again) 🤣 I never posted last week because it was quilt zoom day and then I just … forgot. Oopsie! So here we are making up for lost time.

I have a bit to share with you but first wanted to just let you know I have been on a hunt for the fabric I knew I purchased for the June WIPGO project Field Guide to Dragons. I searched in all my unpacked cross stitch supplies (and realized I am missing all of my 14 ct aida hmmm). Then I realized that I probably had put it in the tote bag of cross stitch haul that still needs to be scanned and organized. I looked in that tote twice. I went to put away some recent haul from 123 Stitch and my new FQS Stitch Quarterly in THAT tote. Guess what I found? Yep, the missing fabric. What a relief!

Happy Valentine’s Day! Hope all you lovebirds have a great day today. My brother-in-law and my grandson both brought me flowers for today as well as helping me with my storage unit. I loved the grand gesture from both of them!

Welcome to this week’s edition of cross stitch projects underway. This week is being cut short as I am actually writing this on Thursday because I have things to do tomorrow. LOL! We are having an unseasonably warm day here in Northern California with the temp at 68F. Just a few days ago the high was in the 40s. You have to love mother nature keeping us on our toes.

Goodbye 2024! Welcome 2025! A new year with overly ambitious plans as usual. We are off to a slow start but I did put together plans for January. I have not really thought about what I would like to accomplish in 2025 other than quilt & bind 12 quilts. I want to turn those quilt tops into finished quilts.

Floss Friday #124

I am exhausted from working on the Cross Stitch WIP parade. It sure felt real good. I didn’t have any new FFO for Cross Stitch in 2024 so that will definitely be a goal for 2025.

Meanwhile, let’s take a look at what I worked on this week.

2024 WIP Parade

I am taking a moment to make this special post for all my cross stitch WIPs at December 31, 2024. While I would love to do this with my quilty projects, with over a 100 WIPs that is just not possible for this year anyway. Maybe next year.

Wow! This will be my last post of 2024. It has been an eventful year with lots of projects and even some finishes. Check out my 2024 Finish page here. While I have not achieved everything I set my eyes on, I am pleased with how much really got done. This weekly post helps keep me on track and accountable to myself by putting it out there. Hope everyone had a great American Thanksgiving. I am still in food coma mode. How about you? It was great to spend some time with my sister and her family this year. So very nice. Food was fabulous as well as the company. Now I am ready to settle into the Christmas season with Christmas less than 4 weeks away. Ready. Set. GO!
