This is my first weekend home for a few weeks. Looking at my November and December schedules, it looks like I will be home more than not for once. This fall has been crazy busy with hockey tournaments. We will be heading out again this weekend for a weekend of hockey in Long Beach! Let’s get started on what I have been working on this weekend. Quilt Diary: Schoolhouse Mug Rug Finish
Coming to you from Starbucks Reserve in Cupertino at 6am. Yes – hockey. It’s been a busy week. I would love to say all the busy was quilting but my day job and my night job keep getting in the way. LOL! Continue reading “Quilt Diary: Schoolhouse Mug Rug Finish”
Quilt Diary: SAL Update
Coming to you from Denver today. On the road for hockey with my grandson Shaun. We are in day 2 of this tournament. We have played so very physical teams and hard teams. We managed to squeak out a win 3 out of 3 games. Playoffs start this afternoon so I thought I would squeeze in a quick post between games since I didn’t post anything on Wednesday. And that would be because Sunday the washer died and I ended up running around all over town to get a new washer and dryer by Wednesday so we could finish washing clothes for hockey. Very little sewing really happened at the sewing machine. Continue reading “Quilt Diary: SAL Update”
Quilt Diary: Sept 2019 One Monthly Goal
September is here and it is time to linkup with Elm Street Quilts for the One Monthly Goal. I have been thinking about this for the last few days wondering what I should commit to. Thinking about what is close to being done and I just need a little push. I narrowed down to four possibilities: Schoolhouse mug rugs, Blooming Pansies, Autumn wall hanging, or pulling out my Halloween/October placemats. The verdict is: Halloween/October placemats! It is time to pull them out of the closet and finish them up. So I am committing to making four October placemats with my purple, black, and orange kitty fabric. See above for sample. Quilt Diary: Another Finish! – Jack ‘O Lantern A-door-nament Wall Hanging
You may have recalled at the end of second quarter finishalong that I was close to many finishes but only one finish. Because of all that progress last quarter, it is the catalyst for all the finishes this quarter. Hmmm. Something to keep in mind when I get down on myself for not finishing anything, right? Continue reading “Quilt Diary: Another Finish! – Jack ‘O Lantern A-door-nament Wall Hanging”
Quilt Diary: Sunflower Finish and July OMG
This post will be quick today as I am only going to talk about what I have worked on in the past few days since my last post. You add that the weekend is still in full swing and I have not done as much as a normal weekend (yet). I also have been focusing on finishing my baby rag quilt to take to Halifax on Wednesday. Here are a few progress pictures and I will post on that hopefully in the next day or two!

Quilt Diary: A look back on June and 2nd Quarter and reset for July and 3rd Quarter Goals
Sadly, the only project I finished second quarter was my Strawberry mug rugs in May. I just can’t seem to be disappointed with all the progress I did make on my projects. They just didn’t get finished. I didn’t even finish my June One Monthly Goal with Elm Street. But oh the progress I have made! I think Quarter 3 will be a big quarter for finishes.

Once again it is time to put together the list of possible finishes in the upcoming 2nd quarter of 2019. I will be linking up with #FAL2019. My host is Capitola Quilter.
