Hello from Steaming Pacific Northwest. We are having another mini heat wave here with it supposed to reach 102F (39C). Lucky for us it is only for a couple of days with over 100, then it cools off for the rest of the week in the 90s. Oh yea!
I have continued to diligently work my active wips for the month. Let me share my progress with you.

Continue reading “Floss Friday #151”Hello from the Pacific Northwest. After weeks of heat, we finally have a storm coming in. While it will cool things down a little, we will still have plenty of humidity to keep us toasty. I am definitely looking forward to it! I am ready to share what I worked on this week with you. I only have one start this week and no finishes. But I did kit up one of my starts for next week. I am even considering having a “Start” Day just to work through my remaining starts. Let’s take a look at this week’s start.
Hello my stitchy friends! I am so enjoying the summer day we are having after a couple of days of rain. We have beautiful blue cloudless skies. It is just gorgeous here in the PNW. The weekend forecast is for the mid 90s in the next few days. Let’s take a look at my eye candy this week.

Continue reading “Floss Friday #149”Welcome back my stitchy friends. Wow! It is now August. The summer is just zooming by. It is hard to believe that I have been in my new home four months. In some ways it feels like I have been here forever (because I am loving every moment) and in others it feels like I just go here (tons of boxes to unpack still).
I am slowly getting things together and have developed a pretty good daily routine which includes regular stitching. Meet most of my July goals so let’s take a look!
I meet both my goals for July which makes me super happy. Since I moved it has been quite the struggle to meet these goals. Slowly but surely things are coming together.

Continue reading “Floss Friday #146”I am still playing catchup (again) 🤣 I never posted last week because it was quilt zoom day and then I just … forgot. Oopsie! So here we are making up for lost time.
I have a bit to share with you but first wanted to just let you know I have been on a hunt for the fabric I knew I purchased for the June WIPGO project Field Guide to Dragons. I searched in all my unpacked cross stitch supplies (and realized I am missing all of my 14 ct aida hmmm). Then I realized that I probably had put it in the tote bag of cross stitch haul that still needs to be scanned and organized. I looked in that tote twice. I went to put away some recent haul from 123 Stitch and my new FQS Stitch Quarterly in THAT tote. Guess what I found? Yep, the missing fabric. What a relief!
Continue reading “Floss Friday #143”Hello Everyone! I have a few pictures to share from the Honeymooners who were in Grand Teton most of the week but migrated to Yellowstone yesterday. I thought I would share a few pictures with you. They have reported (and I have seen the pics) that they have seen a Black Bear with 2 cubs, a marmot, several different moose sitings, and of course bison. Jannes has never been to either park while Caitlin has been, she was only 6 when we were there last. So… it is an adventure for both of them on their honeymoon. So glad they are having a great time although 30 minutes drive to her house and then back again everyday is getting old. Enjoy these few photos.

Continue reading “Floss Friday #140”While things are slow moving on the quilting front as I find and organize my 50 boxes of stuff, I have all of my active cross stitch WIPS with me. Now I haven’t been able to find my extra needles, my floss stasth, my fabric stash, or my inactive wips, kits, or patterns, that still leaves me with a lot to work with. Let’s take a look at what I worked on this week.
