This is my first weekend home for a few weeks. Looking at my November and December schedules, it looks like I will be home more than not for once. This fall has been crazy busy with hockey tournaments. We will be heading out again this weekend for a weekend of hockey in Long Beach! Let’s get started on what I have been working on this weekend. Coming to you from Denver today. On the road for hockey with my grandson Shaun. We are in day 2 of this tournament. We have played so very physical teams and hard teams. We managed to squeak out a win 3 out of 3 games. Playoffs start this afternoon so I thought I would squeeze in a quick post between games since I didn’t post anything on Wednesday. And that would be because Sunday the washer died and I ended up running around all over town to get a new washer and dryer by Wednesday so we could finish washing clothes for hockey. Very little sewing really happened at the sewing machine. Continue reading “Quilt Diary: SAL Update”
Woohoo! Finally wrapped up this project that has been in my sewing room for over a year. It felt good to hang it on the wall yesterday. I absolutely love the hanger I purchased from Ackfeld Manufacturing a month ago. I did not realized that the leaves were colored until I took it out of the package. So nice! My larger series, I usually buy one hanger for the series. I haven’t decided if I will continue using this hanger for the whole series. I originally bought the WELCOME hanger for this series but decided it was too many words. We shall see. For now, I am very pleased at the end result! Here are a few more photos of the final process this week.
