As would be expected, English Paper Piecing is a slow process. I have always done it during hockey practice. With hockey not being normal yet, that has slowed my progress even more! Writing this posts, reminds me that the time I have dedicated this aspect of my quilting has been very minimal in 2020. Something has got to change!

EPP QUILT DIARY: September Projects Under Way
As things have progressed along, my interests have become more diversified. With that thought in mind and a wish for shorter posts, I have begun spliting out certain disciplines from my quilting diary posts. The newest idea was to split out my English Paper Piecing projects.
I only have five active projects using four different patterns. Of course, I have a number waiting to happen.

The second quarter of 2020 has flown by even though we are in quarantine. It seems like a life time ago that we didn’t have to wear masks in public. It is a strange time in history and I don’t see it changing. I have checked the WHO lately or some of the other scientific sites to see how close we are to a vaccination. When I checked last it was 18 months out. Crazy world. I would much rather hibernate in my quilting world. I feel very grateful that we have the internet and can shop and touch base with other quilters via social media. Video online classes – that seemed ridiculous until now right? Quilt Diary: 2020 Quarter 2 Finish-Along
Well this past week found me finishing up a bunch of items for the end of Quarter 1. I wrapped up both Blooming Pumpkins and the Halloween wall hangings as well as finishing up the blue pinwheel potholders. That put me at 11 finished projects for Quarter one. Quilt Diary: Updates for February 2020
It has been a very busy two weeks since my last posting. Unfortunately, not a lot of quilting has happened with time on the road and my daughter Caitlin home visiting. Quilt Diary: November Project Update
We have been back for almost two weeks, yet I don’t feel like I have any time to sew. I have been putting in a lot of hours at work. Meetings all day and my actual work at night and weekends. Every November seems to get like this. Just Crazy! When I get home, I am exhausted. There is no food in the house again. #sigh I currently am not seeing an end to this grueling pace. Quilt Diary: October One Monthly Goal
I missed my September One Monthly Goal, so I am resetting that same goal for October. I will finish 4 Halloween placemats. I was defeated by my sewing machine last month. Of course if I had not waited til the last week to press forward, it would have been a non issue. I just need to finish free motion quilting and binding these cute placemats. I am linking up with Patty at Elm Street Quilts. Quilting these 4 placemats are this week’s #onethingwithAmy goal as well.
