How fast this week went. I had a great time in the Redding area. I found a quilt shop and visited Lassen Volcanic National Park. I even got in a 3 mile hike while I was at Lassen.

Hello from Redding, California! It was over 100F yesterday when I got here. Today is expected to be cooler at 94F. LOL! I am looking forward to going to Lassen Volcanic National Park tomorrow. I went last fall but only had time to see half of what I wanted. The park is generally cooler than Redding because you are in the mountains. Can’t wait!

Happy Friday! How is your first Friday in September shaping up? It is going to be another hot one here in San Jose, California. We have a nice little breeze which is helping cool it off a tad. It is still 90+ but should be breaking the current heat wave this weekend. Just in time for me to head to Redding on Monday into 90+ weather again. LOL! I am looking forward to this quick little jaunt north. Plan on going to Lassen National Park one day at least. Breakfast and dinner will be with my daughter Caitlin who is going to be working in Redding on a project for work all week. It will be good to see her.

Welcome back! Today will be toasty as we once again hit over 90F. The rest of the week is warming up. I am sure September will have a few more of those for us before it is all over and Fall settles in. It is amazing how different my perspective about the temp is in September versus July. 😝

We are experiencing pleasant late summer early fall weather with temperatures around 80 for the next few days. A welcome reprieve from the 90+ temperatures earlier in the week. I am looking forward to fall. It is truly my favorite season of the year. Nice temperatures, beautiful weather, kids back in school. Just love it.
I have all these fall projects I want to start so I have made a push to try and finish all those projects close to being done.

Hi Everyone!
This last week we had gorgeous Faux Fall weather and I loved every minute of it. Yesterday and today we are back to summer with today hitting a high of 91 so far. We haven’t even gotten to the hottest part of the day. While I prefer Fall weather, I am going to enjoy these final sparks of summer. We are feeling pretty lucky here in Northern California to only have a few wildfires so far this year. Our neighbors to the north (Washington and Oregon) are not so lucky. The air quality is very poor. Sending rain thoughts their way.
