I will be making this post a short one but did want to put in my two cents regarding my recent travels from San Jose, California to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Quilt Diary: Finished A-Door-naments Series – Easter Egg
I thought I would whip out my blog on my first finish for Quarter 3 Finish-A-Long. I am linking up with Capitola Quilter. You can see the original list here.

I haven’t done a lot of traveling in 2019 due to my grandson’s hockey. When you travel for hockey, it really isn’t much of a travel event. Well it is… but I don’t think anyone cares to hear how it goes when we arrive for a tournament and such. If someone out there does, then I will be happy to start a Hockey Diary just for these events.

Sadly, the only project I finished second quarter was my Strawberry mug rugs in May. I just can’t seem to be disappointed with all the progress I did make on my projects. They just didn’t get finished. I didn’t even finish my June One Monthly Goal with Elm Street. But oh the progress I have made! I think Quarter 3 will be a big quarter for finishes.

I wrote a post last week, but Starbucks Google lost it somewhere in the dark web. Maybe some day it will reappear but I am just moving on baby.
It is once again Hockey Wednesday (after Hockey Monday, Hockey Tuesday….) It is off season but I feel like I have less sewing time then during season. I am guessing because during season I am prepared and plan better. Of course, attending 3 out of 4 home playoff games each round takes a lot of time too. I am not going to Game 7 of Round 2 because my grandson Shaun does have practice today. We are taping it but I don’t want to watch if we lose. That is just not fun.

I had all these plans to do all this quilting this past Easter weekend as it was suppose to be some alone time for me. The rest of the family originally had all these other plans. The only things I had on my agenda was a MLS and a NHL game to attend and watch respectively. Tons and tons of me time!

Regular Hockey season is overall for youth and NHL. For NHL it is Playoffs and my Sharks are in but have lost 3 in a row. While working on the games I usually am working on my handwork projects. I also work on them (and my blog) while at Shaun’s (grandson) hockey practice. Spring hockey is now in full swing starting this week so I have my designated blog time on Hockey Wednesdays. (Yea!!!) Makes my work day a little short but hey, you do what you gotta do.
