Welcome back my friends. It has been an unexpected productive week. That makes it an exciting week. Let’s take a look!
This week I was able to finish TWO projects! So exciting.
I had a great stitchy week. Worked on mastering Mark R-XP app. I am loving it when everything goes smoothly, but not so much when it doesn’t. LOL. Typical me. I have definitely had fun playing with this app. I was surprised how inspiring it is to know you only have 4 green stitches left or that you are 78% done. Very cool. Let’s take a look at what I worked on this past week and what I hope to work on this coming week.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #109”How fast this week went. I had a great time in the Redding area. I found a quilt shop and visited Lassen Volcanic National Park. I even got in a 3 mile hike while I was at Lassen.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #108”Happy Friday! How is your first Friday in September shaping up? It is going to be another hot one here in San Jose, California. We have a nice little breeze which is helping cool it off a tad. It is still 90+ but should be breaking the current heat wave this weekend. Just in time for me to head to Redding on Monday into 90+ weather again. LOL! I am looking forward to this quick little jaunt north. Plan on going to Lassen National Park one day at least. Breakfast and dinner will be with my daughter Caitlin who is going to be working in Redding on a project for work all week. It will be good to see her.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #107”We are experiencing pleasant late summer early fall weather with temperatures around 80 for the next few days. A welcome reprieve from the 90+ temperatures earlier in the week. I am looking forward to fall. It is truly my favorite season of the year. Nice temperatures, beautiful weather, kids back in school. Just love it.
I have all these fall projects I want to start so I have made a push to try and finish all those projects close to being done.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #106”Welcome to this week’s edition of all my stitchy projects. I have mixed feelings with the week. I feel like I really got things done, but not quite what I originally planned 😂. Big surprise there. My assistant was VERY helpful this week keeping me focused and in one place.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #105”Happy Friday! Today has been a good day so far. It is a bit cooler today than it has been in weeks. Not too hot. Not too cold. Just right! Sunny ☀️ and 78F here.
Let’s take a look at this week’s projects that I did work on. Not as many as I had planned but I am pleased with the progress.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #104”The writer describes a week of pleasant weather, their return to routine after a trip, and plans to visit Santa Barbara. They reflect on childhood beach birthday parties and recent erosion at Seacliff. The week included various cross-stitch projects, garden-fresh tomatoes from a neighbor, and a family birthday BBQ. Upcoming plans involve more stitching and group activities.
Another week of fairly good weather. A little hazy from the wildfires north of me but otherwise nice. It started heating up again yesterday, but otherwise it has been a gorgeous summer week in Northern California. I am almost back in my normal routine after being gone for 3 weeks in July. I was thinking of going to Santa Barbara for a treat. If I do, I think it will be just for a couple of days.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #103”Today my daughter turned 30! It just seems like yesterday when she came barreling into our life. She has always had a strong independent nature that has thankfully been channelled into a productive lifestyle. Happy Birthday Caitlin. I love you.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #102”Whoo Hoo! Hard to believe this is my 100th post of Floss Friday. That translates to 2 years of posting. Just seems like yesterday I started this regular post. The memories….
Let’s take a look at what I worked on this week.
