Floss Friday #6

Happy Friday! I am attempting to type while Simba is petting me and the computer. Not only is he distracting, he keeps stepping on the keyboard. He has been very needed today waking me up at 4:30 this morning requesting cuddles. This is not normal behavior for him so not sure what’s up.

Okay. I spent some time petting him and he is settling down for a nap. Keep your fingers crossed!

Floss Fridays #1

It hit me like a ton of bricks this afternoon what to call this weekly blog for my cross stitch projects. While I meant to post last week, it seems that I needed to wait until this week for this creative inspiration. So instead of just one week’s worth of projects you will be getting two weeks this time which will make this post still a bit long. Although I did work on a few projects multiple days.

Cross Stitch Diary: February 2022

Still in catch up mode. This week we will take a sneak peek at my February projects so far. I participated in an instagram #stitchthewinterolympics which was fun if a little limiting. But sometimes you just have to change it up. That means a few projects I had intended on working on for the month have not even been started. With less than week left in February, I do want to get started on those projects. I will share next week with all of you.

Cross Stitch Diary: January 2022

Welcome back friends! I have been catching all of you up on my quilting projects. I wanted to spend a little time on my cross stitch projects. So let’s get started!

2021 Results

I started the year with 14 projects in process, 36 new starts, and 35 finishes. So I ended the year with one more WIP to make it 15. It felt good to finish five projects in December alone including Autumn Spice, July Calendar Crate, October Sampler of the Month, Pine Needle Calendar, and September Truckin Along. I finished an average 3 projects per month during 2021.

CROSS STITCH DIARY: July Update

Hello My Friends! This is totally a crazy month. There will be nothing organized or normal for July or even August. You may remember that I got a new long arm but there was something wrong with the computer unit (darn computers!) so I am still waiting for the part. I could have started using the long arm anyway but chose not to.

CROSS STITCH DIARY: Update June 2021

It’s been a busy month since we last chatted about my cross stitch projects. I’ve still lacking in courage or a defined plan for a framed or finished project. I have on my list Singing in the Rain and FQS Stitch Quarterly America.

CROSS STITCH DIARY: A little update for May 2021

I have been a little distracted this past month. Last weekend we were in Salt Lake City for a hockey tournament. I brought along both cross stitch and EPP. Both the plane and the hotel room was a bit crowded and not really conducive to getting stuff out which was a bit disappointing. Here I thought I was going to make all this progress but we were running around with not a lot of free time.

CROSS STITCH DIARY: April 2021

I’ve been focused the past two weeks on finishing up my February themed projects so I could try and get caught up on my Monthly series. I realized today that I just have too many monthly series so it is making it hard to work on my non-monthly projects.

CROSS STITCH DIARY: February Successes!

I’m feeling pretty good about the last four weeks in relating to my cross stitch projects with four finishes, two new starts and another five new starts in the next seven days.

CROSS STITCH DIARY: February Starts and Stops

As discussed last month, I pushed forward through end of January on my Christmas stitches. Unlike Halloween though, I decided to retain one Christmas project to continue plugging away while putting the rest up for now.
