Hope all my American friends had a great Thanksgiving yesterday. Mine was awesome. Good company. Good food. I did have a bit of a food coma afterwards. Rained most of the day but since I never had to leave the house, it didn’t bother me much. Hope all of you had a great holiday!
Overall, this was a good stitching week. I even finished one of my WIPGO goals for November. With just 3 days left, I hope to finish my second goal. Let’s take a look at this week’s projects.
Hello Everyone! I started thinking about Thanksgiving this week. I am looking forward to good food and company. It makes it one of my favorite times of the year. I look forward to the fellowship!
The week was productive. I hit all of my weekly goals and most of my monthly goals. Let’s take a look at this week’s projects.
Wow! I got really hyper focused this week attempting to finish all of my Halloween WIPs. I normally would just work on night on something, but I really really wanted to wrap up these projects.
I considered doing this with my Fall WIPs. I don’t think I am close enough to finish any of them if I want to everything else on my list. Not sure if I will get my November goals posted as I still want to spend some time in the sewing studio today as well. So much to do and so little time (and I am retired!)
Hello Everyone! I am finally home for a while. It feels so good to be home although I had a great time in NYC. If I find some time, I will do a travel post to cover everything I did in September & October. It has definitely been a very busy fall so far. I am looking forward to some extended time at home and to get back to my normal routine.
Unfortunately for all of you, this may be a bit longish. I will try and wrap up all of October since my post on October 3rd.
It sure was a busy September. I was on the road a lot, so I missed quite a few Fridays. I had a great time at the Quilt Retreat at Zephyr Cove on Lake Tahoe. I shared a little more in the To Do Tuesday #156 post.
The latest trip took me to Redmond/Bend, Oregon for a long arm training with Gammill as well as a shop hop one day. Learned a lot and met a lot of great people. The teachers were fantastic! I can’t wait until next year to do it again when I have more experience with my retrofited Statler.
First Friday of September! Welcome Fall. We are still having warm weather but with a few showers to help break things up. I am sure in 4 months I will be complaining. For now, welcoming the change. It has been a pretty good week so let’s take a look.
We have reached the last Friday of the Summer. So hard to believe we are here already. I feel like the summer just flew by! I didn’t really DO anything all summer. My summer was spent settling in to my new home and selling the old one. My San Jose home finally closed last friday. (Yea!!!) I still have one more home to sell in San Jose and I hope to sell it before year end. Hopefully ya’ll have done something way more fun this summer!
September and Ocotber will be making up for being a homebody all summer. First trip is quickly approaching and I can’t wait to see all my friends in person as we attend the Zephyr Cove quilt retreat on Lake Tahoe.
While things are slow moving on the quilting front as I find and organize my 50 boxes of stuff, I have all of my active cross stitch WIPS with me. Now I haven’t been able to find my extra needles, my floss stasth, my fabric stash, or my inactive wips, kits, or patterns, that still leaves me with a lot to work with. Let’s take a look at what I worked on this week.
Starts & Finishes
I initially thought I had nothing to share for this category. I already forgot that last Friday I finished a project!
I am happy to be able to work on my cross stitch projects during this time of chaos called MOVING. LOL 😝 I have some things to share with you for this week as things are going very well. Not sure how April will go but March has been pretty darn good! Let’s take a look.
Starts & Finishes
I started my final project for March but haven’t finished anything new. I am close so next week I will share my final finish with you.
Hello Everyone! Sorry about missing last week’s blog. Just had a bad week so this week will be a lot since I did stitch everyday this past two weeks. LOL! 😝 Still working on the move which will be the theme for the next month.
Starts & Finishes
I am excited that I have already started five of the six planned starts for this month and one of the two finishes for March. After a mediocre February, I am feeling good about March. Let’s take a look:

I got a great start on this WIPGO project for the month. I am already 1216 stitches into my 1500 stitch WIPGO goal. Feeling pleased as ice cream over this one. I have been looking forward to starting this Stitch Quarterly project from a year ago. I love the vibrant colors and it is a delight to work on. In just two nights I am already over half done with this project. Just love stitching on this navy aida.
