I have been a little late all week. Off my game for sure. But it has been a super productive week in my crafting world. 😝 I think I am finally recovered from the Reno trip just in time for my trip to Washington State. Let’s take a look at what cross stitch I worked on this past week.
I had one start and three finishes this week. It felt so good to check off so many of my finish projects off the list. Let’s check them out!
Continue reading “Floss Friday #96”It has been a busy week at the Reno Quilt Show but we still managed to get some stitching in as we settled down for the night. Not as much as normal, but still a decent amount. We finished our classes yesterday and walked the show floor in just a couple of hours. That turned out to be a good thing since we only had a couple of hours. 😂.
Thursday night we drove over to Gardnerville to stay at a friend’s house and to hit our favorite quilt store – Quilt House. As usual, it was productive and fabric that we haven’t been able to find was found. We will be heading home today. But before we do that: Let’s take a look at this week’s projects.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #95”Hello Everyone! The weather here is San Jose is slightly less sweltering than the last two days. Thank goodness it has at least gotten down to 70 every night. It is very rough when it doesn’t cool down even after the sun has gone down. Next week I will be heading out to Reno for the Reno Quilt Festival and visiting with friends. We haven’t decided whether we are coming home next Friday or Saturday. It is possible I might miss next Friday’s post.

Continue reading “Floss Friday #92”Welcome to this week’s edition of Floss Friday where I share what cross stitch projects I have been working on this week. If you follow me at all, you know that I just got back on Wednesday from taking the train to and from Seattle to visit my daughter. I tried to stitch on the train, but I got motion sick. I did do a little on the way to Seattle, but I did english paper piecing on the way home.

Continue reading “Floss Friday #91”Happy Friday! After a blazing hot weekend, starting Tuesday we went from 80F to 65F. They are saying it should be a dry weekend though. I had heard on the news that we have not had back to back dry weekends since October. That seems so crazy when just a couple of years ago we were in a severe drought. I am thankful that this winter was wet but we were not drowned. Love living in Northern California.
Now to jump into sharing this last week’s stitchy projects I worked on.

Continue reading “Floss Friday #87”Welcome to this week’s edition of Floss Friday where I share my cross stitch projects. Before we get started I just wanted to share:
It’s been another busy week. Last weekend was a rollercoaster emotionally. I don’t know if you remember, but I went to Irvine, CA for California Hockey States for my grandson Shaun. The boys lost their first two games by one goal and were so heart broken. As playoffs can be, the unexpected happened. All six teams had lost at least one game on Friday so we were still in the running. I did the math and if we won by a large margin on Saturday morning we could make the semis. They did!!!! They even won the Semis!!!! Sunday morning found us playing in the 16UAA Championship game. It was tied for the first two periods 1-1. With 10 minutes left, the wheels fell off the bus. Shaun went to the penalty box and the other team scored. Another penalty and the other team was up 3-1. The boys were devastated but kept at it. We pulled our goalie and the other team scored 2 empty net goals. Despite the 5-1 final score, the game was super close and I am very proud of my grandson Shaun and his team. What an accomplishment to finish the season 2nd out of 30+ teams. Great job boys.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #83”Hello from Irvine in Southern California. We are here this weekend for States Hockey Tournament. Sadly we lost our first game. We have another tonight. 🤞
Yesterday was spent driving from Nor Cal to So Cal. I also stopped and visited one of my study group member’s from my Immersion group. Had a blast visiting her store – Phoebe Peacock. It is a combination of vintage, scent bar, tea, and spa. Loved it!
I had one start & one finish for the week although the finish isn’t a real finish, it’s this month’s stitches.
