This past week was another full week of learning. This time I took a 3 day class in Portland to “Master” my new Bernina 990. That’s sewing and this post is about cross stitch. I only mention it because it meant that I was in traffic for an hour every morning and 90-120 minutes. When I got home, I had homework to do for the next day. By the time I finished my homework, I had enough time to eat and go to bed so I could do it all over again the next day. Not a lot of stitching happened.

WIP Updates
I only worked on a few projects this week with my limited time. Let’s take a look.
JUN WIPGO Project 21: April Month 2 Month Barn by Stitching with the Housewives
I attempted to finish off this WIPGO project from June. I started it last week and then what little time I had this week I put in time on it after class. I needed 1304 stitches. I managed to get 1156 stitches. So close. I could have continued stitching with CCW Black Coffee so I worked on one of the daffodils to just add a little color. I will be happy to finally wrap this one up.
JUL WIPGO Project 9: Winter Stitching Season by Stitching with the Housewives
I was able to finish stitching WINTER and even started a new house. This week was only one night with a few stitches.
JUL WIPGO Project 17: Oakly Acorns by Robin Pickens
I started on the acorns this week for this project. I didn’t get far, but it still felt good.
August WIPGO Pulls
Project 19: November Stackables by It’s Sew Emma (Fat Quarter Shop)
The goal will be to finish this project. There is only 1100 stitches left so this one should end up being a slam dunk.
Project 23: Stitching Quaker by Primrose Cottage
I ended up finishing this project earlier this year. I think I will start Stitching Quilt instead. The project is less than 2100 stitches. I am thinking the goal will be to start and finish the Stitching Quilt.
It will be a companion to my earlier finish.
Happy Mail
I received another package from Chantelle’s 141 Design this week. It was my painting project as a Pateron Tier 3 member. I wanted to share with you this fun project.
I also received my Pick-A-Thing box for July. I got a chart, a few tools, ornaments, some kind of jute ball, some wood brushes, and some boards.
Plans & Reflections
Today was the last day of July. For the first time since last April, not only did I not work on all my active projects, I only met a few of my goals. I didn’t take into account all the lost time I would have with disruptions in my normal schedule. Ever the optomist. I am going to try and set more realistic goals for August and especially for September.
I have not put any thought into August goals yet so I will just focus on this next week’s goals.
