Floss Friday #12

Wow! It’s been a whole month since I last posted. Summer Vacations are so important to replenishing your creative and physical stores so you can carry forward.

I did sign up for a finishing class with Cathy from Hands on Designs. She is going to be in Modesto, CA October 7 & 8. I am so excited!!!

I just got back on Wednesday from a week long road trip to Oregon and Washington were I visited family and two different National Parks. I am very excited to be able to just drop everything and take off. It was great seeing my brother Scott and his kids, as well as my daughter, Caitlin.

Mt. Rainier National Park and Lassen National Park were fantastic. I got some awesome pictures.

I had meant to do more than just start this project. I am such an optimist! LOL. This is being stitched on 16 ct Oatmeal Colour & Cotton aida using the called for DMC thread. It was tough to decide which chart to start with so I just went with the first one.

Works in Progress

Prim Stitch by Lori Holt

I am working on Section / Block 8. I was able to finish up the girl. I love the colors of her dress.

Oracle 2022 SAL with the FB group Oracle SAL

I just finished up section 8 of 9 and even did one symbol of the final section 9. It is exciting to be close to finishing up this 2022 stitch-a-long. I am stitching on 16 ct black aida with DMC thread 4030 and 156.

Fruit of Plenty (2021 SAL) by Modern Folk Embroidery

I had every intention of working on this project while on vacation. I did have some time, but honestly, after driving and hiking all day, I was just too tired to pull this out. So when I got home on Wednesday, I stitched on this one for the first time since June. How did the time slip by?

Upcoming

So far I have three starts planned for August. I still need to prep the kits. I had hoped to continue with the 9 patch series. The pattern arrived along with September’s. I just am clueless where I “put” it away. I don’t want to buy the same pattern. So I continue to search for those misplaced patterns.

My babies missed me while I was gone and as usual as being very clingy. Simba is giving me a break right now and just sleeping next to the computer and Nala finally is back to her usual sleeping spot (which I have no clue where it is). Hopefully, I can get a picture of one of them to post today.

See ya’ll in a week!
