To Do Tuesday #18

Welcome to another To Do Tuesday. It’s been a couple of weeks for me this time because I took a little road trip to Washington and Oregon. Check out my last Floss Friday to see some pictures from that trip.

I will be linking up with Linda over at Texas Quilt Gal. Thanks again Linda for hosting!

What Got Done!

I got more done than I thought I would so that made me happy.

  1. I made the June 21st 365 block.
  2. I got one of the two 365 blocks cut that I wanted. I need more design boards. So I need to make some or order some. Right now, it is a hinderance not having more.
  3. I sewed my two churn dash blocks.
  4. I sewed my 10 Tula Pink blocks.
  5. I finally got the first new black border on my Charming SunFlower quilt.
  6. I finally finished off the June Tweet Tree.

To Do List Week of August 16th – 22nd

I have high hopes for this next week. Friday is Zoom quilting day and I tend to get a lot done on those days. Plus I am determined to long arm this weekend which means I should be able to finish both Name of the Rose and my Heart Table Runner. My long arm will be serviced on Monday morning. I need to do some prep work cutting to get ready for Friday!

To do #1 – Quilt Name of the Rose

Still on the list. I am determined to get this one done this week.

To Do #2 – Label for Name of the Rose quilt

Yep. Still on the List

To Do #3 Quilt February Table Runner.

Another item that has been on this list for a while. No quilting mojo recently.

To Do #4 – Finish Lost & Found Block 19

Once again, it has been appearing here for a long time. I’ve just been derailed on my EPP projects. Just haven’t had the mojo.

To Do #5 – Reattach Pieced Border for Charming Sunflowers

Since I finally finished sewing on the first black border in the new black, it is time to reattached these pieced borders. Wish me luck that I attach them in the “right” order. I should have put a note on each border as to what order they should be attached. Good luck to me. LOL!

To Do #6 – Make 4 More Churn Dash blocks

I need some orange and green blocks done so I can sew together my first row which is next on my list.

To Do #7 – Sew First Churn Dash Row

Yipee! Can’t wait. I have been thinking about who this quilt will go to. I have a guy friend (Bryan) whose wife is all about pink. I think she would love this quilt. We have a long way to go, so we shall see.

To Do #8 – Cut August Monthly Color Challenge Block

I just printed the instructions after having issues just earlier today. This month’s color is cinnamon. Hmm…

To Do #9 – Sew August Monthly Color Challenge block

I have this on my list for things to work on during Friday’s Zoom call.

To Do #10 – Cut 2 – 365 blocks

Next up is June 23rd & 24th to be cut. We are still on 6 inch white background blocks. Any day now it will be time to do the next border.

To Do #11 – Sew June 22nd block

I think I can sew more, but I am just listing this one so as not to over extend myself. Yes. I know I just said something oxymoron.

To Do #12 – White Hawaiian Row 2
First White Hawaiian row completed

I am getting really ambitious here. I will need to sew all 10 blocks before I can assemble them. They are sitting on the design board just waiting to go zoom zoom!

Wrap Up!

We are going to stop here even though I have a lot more on my monthly list (see the side bar for Monthly Quilting Goals). There will be more leader and ender units with both the Tula Pink and 2 patch projects. But I am dropping them off the To Do list for now.

Here is a quick look at this week’s ambitious list:

  5. Reattach pieced border on Charming Sunflowers quilt
  6. Sew 4 more Churn Dash blocks
  7. Sew first Churn Dash blocks into a row
  8. Cut Aug Mo Color Challenge block
  9. Sew Aug Mo Color Challenge block
  10. Cut two more 365 challenge blocks
  11. Sew at least one 365 challenge block

I hope everyone is having a good time and making progress on their projects. Good luck everyone!

  1. Hi Peggy, I checked out your vacay photos and looks like you had a fabulous time. I love all the cross stitch projects you posted about, they are all so pretty, especially the barn one and the Fruit of Plenty. I still love the colors on both the Charming Sunflowers and The Name of the Rose quilts. I’m so glad you have such helpful assistants and they are so cute.
Thank you for joining with us at To Do Tuesday!
