Same as in January, I have focused mostly on my free motion quilting and have really neglected my other sewing projects. You throw in a trip to Florida the last week of February and I really shut down my own progress. #sigh I apologize for the week late post.

APPLIQUE DIARY: February Update and Changes
I’ve been busy with life this past month and haven’t made it into my sewing room as much as I would like. I tell myself to take a deep breath and let it go. Reminding myself that quilting in all of its forms is a stress reliever not a stressful hobby. Anyone else feeling me with setting your own goals to high. Well let’s get started on what has happened (or not) with my applique projects.

As discussed last month, I pushed forward through end of January on my Christmas stitches. Unlike Halloween though, I decided to retain one Christmas project to continue plugging away while putting the rest up for now.

Five weeks have passed since we last got together to discuss our stitching projects. I had so many planned starts last month which means that I have a lot of rollover this month. I meant to only have seven projects – one per day, but I kept seeing things I wanted to start. LOL!

Can’t believe it’s already been a month since we last talked about my English Paper Piecing projects. I did get a lot of hockey time which equals piecing time! Although our county shut down, a couple counties away, the rinks were opened so we were able to do two weeks of hockey camp. Thank goodness!

2020 Finishes
I only finished two quilts in 2020. It was my first time participating in this challenge. It worked like it was supposed to other than I got discouraged. The idea was to work on a random quilt each month to progress and hopefully finish.

I’ve been in the office and on the road a lot more this month than I thought I would. I did manage to still get a few things done.
