Floss Friday #9

Cat

Hello Fellow Stitchers!

Can you believe it is Friday already?! The week went so fast. So let’s jump right into what I worked on this week.

FINISH: May Barn Sweet Barn by Lori Holt
May Barn Sweet Barn on 20ct Lugana 2 over 2 using DMC threads I chose

I really like the colors for this one. Of course yellow is a favorite of mine. I think I am getting faster at stitching these. It only took me two days for this one.

FINISH: March Snapshot Series by Pine Mountain Designs
March Snapshot stitched on 10 ct Oatmeal aida using Kim Jolly’s DMC colors

I found this to be a fun stitch overall. My favorite was stitching the lion! I also love how the tail of the kite meanders down into another picture.

START & FINISH: May Calendar Crates (small chart) by Stitching with the Housewives
Small May Calendar Crates stitched on 14 ct chalkboard black using called for Classic Colorworks thread

I debated whether to start the large or the small chart. As you can see, the small chart one out. It always feels good to whip one out in two days.

Sail Away by Fat Quarter Shop
Sail Away progress

I always thought I was going to love this one. It hasn’t been bad, but not as fun as I thought. I did finish the banner and am working on the anchor now.

Butterfly Dream by Dimensions
Embellishing Butterfly Dreams

OMG! Adding the backstitching is so tedious. It wouldn’t be so bad if there wasn’t so much. And this designs really needs the backstitching in order to look good. So I will continue to plug away.

April Truckin Along by Stitching with the Housewives
April Truckin Along progress

This one is kind of fun stitching carrots and radishes. It felt good to finish the top border. I even got a nice start on the right border. I just love this orange thread color!!!

Wrap Up

I started with 23 WIPs for the month of May, had 4 new starts, and 6 finishes. Overall, a fairly productive month ending with just 21 WIPs.

I’m planning 4 new starts in June along with 3 finishes. Big plans and so little time. LOL!

Everyone have a great weekend and we will catch up again next week!
