Welcome back my Quilty friends! Oh my goodness. The Electrician was here this past week installing more lights in the sewing studio. He only got a third done and I can’t believe how much better I can see. Can’t wait until they finish all of it this week! Let there be LIGHT!💡 Also switching out halogen for led as well as yellow for white. So much brighter. I did not even realize how much I have been straining my eyes. So very nice! Okay, let’s talk quilting.
I will be linking up with Carol at Quilt Schmilt again this week for To Do Tuesday. Come check it out.

Project Updates
While I never feel like I get enough time in the studio, I am always grateful for every moment.
March Monthly Color Challenge by Patterns by Jen

I think my March (aqua) block turned out awesome! I am using Alison Glass fabrics. I don’t remember what collections. I just love the contrast. Fun block.
Abby rose churn dash blocks

I finished another churn dash block. I have been doing two a month as my leaders enders project. Here is my second complete on for March.
autumn seed quilt by lori holt (bee in my bonnet)

I joined in for a few hours on Friday with my quilt guild’s Friday Zoom. They do it every Friday from 10am to 11pm. It was my first time. Everyone was very friendly and it was nice to hear all the chatter while working. I mostly worked on this project. This will eventually be a white pumpkin. This finished block center will be the center of the pumpkin.

Just a refresher what the other three look like. I think the first one is still my favorite so far. Of course that could be that churn dash blocks are a favorite of mine.
Stars aligned by strip club

I started sewing the “flying” geese half square triangles into the next phase. My idea is to string all these units together. Just a reminder of the quilt:

Weekly To Do List
I really got a lot done this week.

Thinking it would be good to finish the following:

- Work on my next churn dash block
- Sew some pairs for Stars Aligned pieced border
- Load 100 days quilt onto longarm
- Continue loading fabrics on mini bolts

That should keep me busy!
Musings

I leave in less than two weeks for a quilt retreat at Lake Tahoe. I am excited to see my friends and have some dedicated time to work on a new project. I would very much like to precut my main project and a secondary project. My main project is going to be an Elizabeth Hartman pattern with Big Foot using some fabric hat was for the Pacific Northwest Shop Hop last year. I bought a simpler pattern using that same fabric as well. It is that pattern or Tula Pink’s Gray Work that will be the secondary project. Decisions.
I picked up a new foot and stitch plate for my travel machine which is going to be nice so I don’t have to rob my non traveling stash.
That is all that I have to share for this week. Please drop me a comment if you liked anything. Hope you have a great week! Stop by on Friday if you are interested in seeing some cross stitch projects.

After reading your most recent post, I went back to see the genesis of your Lori Holt project. Of course, I am embarrased to say I had commented on many of the posts when you started it but for some reason the Autumn Seeds project in particular hadn’t registered with me! They do now though, so I will be happily following along as you move forward with this project!! Hugs to the quilt room assitants!!
