Welcome back my friends. It has been an unexpected productive week. That makes it an exciting week. Let’s take a look!
This week I was able to finish TWO projects! So exciting.
We are experiencing pleasant late summer early fall weather with temperatures around 80 for the next few days. A welcome reprieve from the 90+ temperatures earlier in the week. I am looking forward to fall. It is truly my favorite season of the year. Nice temperatures, beautiful weather, kids back in school. Just love it.
I have all these fall projects I want to start so I have made a push to try and finish all those projects close to being done.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #106”Happy Friday! Today has been a good day so far. It is a bit cooler today than it has been in weeks. Not too hot. Not too cold. Just right! Sunny ☀️ and 78F here.
Let’s take a look at this week’s projects that I did work on. Not as many as I had planned but I am pleased with the progress.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #104”Welcome to this week’s edition of Floss Friday. I am still at Lake Tahoe at a quilt retreat. More sewing than stitching has happened this week but I do have some stuff to show you from before this trip. Let’s jump in!
Continue reading “Floss Friday #101”Hello Everyone! The weather here is San Jose is slightly less sweltering than the last two days. Thank goodness it has at least gotten down to 70 every night. It is very rough when it doesn’t cool down even after the sun has gone down. Next week I will be heading out to Reno for the Reno Quilt Festival and visiting with friends. We haven’t decided whether we are coming home next Friday or Saturday. It is possible I might miss next Friday’s post.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #94”Can you believe today is the last day of May? Tomorrow is June! #wow This week has been full of graduations including my grandson’s girlfriend. The two of them have been running from graduation to graduation all week. Tis the season. It is hard to believe he is only 16 but next year he will be graduating himself (dating older women LOL).
Summer is around the corner. It has been hot this week but not nearly as hot as next week will be. We will be having our first heatwave of the season. That’s always when you find out the AC is broken right? 😂
Continue reading “Floss Friday #93”Happy Friday! It is a relief to have tax day behind us here in the US. Of course, being retired my return is pretty straight forward but it is still a pain in the ###. I would much rather think about all the fun things I could be doing instead! So let’s talk cross stitch today on this gorgeous spring day in San Jose.
I worked on one of my WIPGO projects this week – Year of Celebration Season 2 with one finish and one start as well as one other new start.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #87”Welcome to another edition of Floss Friday where I share what I have been cross stitching on during the week. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you can share any thoughts you have!
A little shout-out to Simba who wrote Tuesday’s post. Thanks Bud! I really needed the break.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #55”Can you believe July is almost over? Just a few more weeks and the kids are bacck in school. How crazy is that? This week has been pretty normal summer day here in San Jose, California. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer.
I am pleased to have finished my last two projects that I planned to finish this July.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #52”Whew! It’s been two weeks since I last checked in with everyone. A week of that was me off spending money in Reno on more quilting projects and supplies that I had not planned on buying! I went with my enabling buddies Mary Elizabeth, Toni, and Teri. We had a great time, shopped, ate, drank, and talked so much about everything under the sun. I am sure we solved all the world’s problems. LOL!
Obviously, I did take a project along and only actually worked on it the first night we were in Reno. I simply was too tired the other nights after being on my feet for hours. After getting home, I just sat in my chair and stared into space for a day or two. So not only did I not stitch much while on the road, I didn’t stitch much when I got back either. Despite all that I still managed to get stuff done. I have no idea how.
