Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #167”We made it to 2026 my quilty friends! I hope you are enjoying the new year. We have had some interesting weather for this year already here in Vancouver, Washington. We have had rain, sunshine, sleet and in the mountains there was fresh powder then it rained. It all melted here. I am snug as a bug. The weather hasn’t bothered me at all.

Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #165”Welcome back my quilty friends! Hard to believe Christmas is upon us. I am looking forward to spending time with my daughter. We have lived in different states for over 10 years. Now we are in the same town. I feel like I hardly see her because we are both living our best lives. LOL! Being so close now, we don’t make the time to spend with each other like we did when we lived 3500+ miles apart. I am sure you can relate as well.
I started a new thing since we lasted chatted. I have made a mindful decision to go UPSTAIRS to my sewing studio at least once a day for at least 15 minutes. I have also told myself, I don’t have to sew if I don’t want to but I NEED to visit the studio.
Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #163”Where did the time go? I can’t believe that another week has gone by. I am trying to think what I have done this week. Doesn’t seem like much. LOL! I ended up getting caught up in reading and probably read 4 books this week instead of hitting the sewing room.
Despite that, I did make it to the sewing room once this week and worked one night on my English paper piecing. I will be linking up with Carol at Quilt Schmilt for To Do Tuesday. Check it out!

Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #118”Hello from Seattle! I meet the German In-Laws. As expected everyone was very nice. They have a packed schedule trying to squeeze in as much as possible in their trip. I gave them the potholders that I finished hours before boarding the train on Friday (😂). They seemed to be a hit. I got German chocolate in return from their hometown. I haven’t tried it yet, but I do love chocolate.

Weather here in San Jose has been all over the place. Blizzards one day. 70F another. Just crazy. Here in San Jose we just got alot of rain. Today is a little overcast but I am seeing peeks of blue skies.

Continue reading “To Do Tuesday #84”It is time for this weeks update on my quilty projects. Here in San Jose we survived a very vicious storm. It has been two days since it passed through San Jose and people are still without power. I feel fortunate that I never lost power. Yesterday I drove through town what should have been a 15 minute drive that took me an hour due to lights out, streets blocked by down power lines and trees, and of course, crews trying to clean up the storm damage. I am counting my blessings and am glad that everyone is safe.
