Quilting, Cross Stitch & Travel Adventures
Friday was a busy day so I am running a wee bit behind getting this up. Thank you for allowing me to share what I have been working on this week in my cross stitch world. Let’s jump in.
No new finishes this week but I did get started on two more from the planned 9 starts for this month.
The heat wave that started on Monday peaked on Wednesday but is still with us through the weeked. Welcome Autumn! I expect next week I will be complaining about being cold. 😝 Hopefully you all are enjoying your October. Can you believe it is here already!?
It has been a fairly productive and fun week. Yesterday I received happy mail from 123 Stitch so I spent the afternoon kitting up the next in two series I am working on: Santa’s House (Fabulous House Series) and Winter Baskets (Triple Play Pillows series). I finished so many projects in September that I had a pile of floss that had to inventoried and put away. It sure felt good to complete that task!
Continue reading “Friday Floss #111”Happy Friday! How is your first Friday in September shaping up? It is going to be another hot one here in San Jose, California. We have a nice little breeze which is helping cool it off a tad. It is still 90+ but should be breaking the current heat wave this weekend. Just in time for me to head to Redding on Monday into 90+ weather again. LOL! I am looking forward to this quick little jaunt north. Plan on going to Lassen National Park one day at least. Breakfast and dinner will be with my daughter Caitlin who is going to be working in Redding on a project for work all week. It will be good to see her.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #107”We are experiencing pleasant late summer early fall weather with temperatures around 80 for the next few days. A welcome reprieve from the 90+ temperatures earlier in the week. I am looking forward to fall. It is truly my favorite season of the year. Nice temperatures, beautiful weather, kids back in school. Just love it.
I have all these fall projects I want to start so I have made a push to try and finish all those projects close to being done.

I feel like I really got things done, but not quite what I originally planned 😂. Big surprise there. My assistant was VERY helpful this week keeping me focused and in one place.
Happy Friday! Today has been a good day so far. It is a bit cooler today than it has been in weeks. Not too hot. Not too cold. Just right! Sunny ☀️ and 78F here.

Continue reading “Floss Friday #102”Hello Everyone! The weather here is San Jose is slightly less sweltering than the last two days. Thank goodness it has at least gotten down to 70 every night. It is very rough when it doesn’t cool down even after the sun has gone down. Next week I will be heading out to Reno for the Reno Quilt Festival and visiting with friends. We haven’t decided whether we are coming home next Friday or Saturday. It is possible I might miss next Friday’s post.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #94”Can you believe today is the last day of May? Tomorrow is June! #wow This week has been full of graduations including my grandson’s girlfriend. The two of them have been running from graduation to graduation all week. Tis the season. It is hard to believe he is only 16 but next year he will be graduating himself (dating older women LOL).
Summer is around the corner. It has been hot this week but not nearly as hot as next week will be. We will be having our first heatwave of the season. That’s always when you find out the AC is broken right? 😂
