How has your January been? Here in California we have had the strangest weather. You may recall that last week we had sunny days in the high 70’s. It began to rain on Friday and hasn’t stopped. We had temperatures drop below freezing over the weekend. Crazy indeed!

I only finished two quilts in 2020. It was my first time participating in this challenge. It worked like it was supposed to other than I got discouraged. The idea was to work on a random quilt each month to progress and hopefully finish.

My boss has been in town this week (and next) as well as getting a visitor Monday night who will be staying indefinitely. His name is Jannes and he is from Germany. He was supposed to get his Canadian Visa by now and because of COVID-19 that hasn’t happened. He is hoping to be in Canada within the next two weeks. So we shall see. With so much going on, I have barely touched my project list this week.

It has been a very busy two weeks since my last posting. Unfortunately, not a lot of quilting has happened with time on the road and my daughter Caitlin home visiting. Quilt Diary: January Challenges Updates
I’m sitting in sunny Kissimmee, Florida this morning. It is 77F here with a slight breeze. A perfect day. Unfortunately, due to hockey, we do not get to take advantage of it. We have a game this afternoon and we can’t have the twelve year old running around using up all his energy. I brought my computer out to the lanai (no wait I’m in Florida so I mean patio) to stare out at the gorgeous weather and start this blog update. Back home in San Jose, CA, it is 42F and raining. I am definitely in the better spot!

Quilt Diary: New Year’s Resolutions-Self Care
Holidays were full of family, friends, celebrations, and hockey. As for most of you, there was not a lot of time to sew in the past two weeks. I am sure no one is surprised.
