Quilting, Cross Stitch & Travel Adventures
I have been a little late all week. Off my game for sure. But it has been a super productive week in my crafting world. 😝 I think I am finally recovered from the Reno trip just in time for my trip to Washington State. Let’s take a look at what cross stitch I worked on this past week.
I had one start and three finishes this week. It felt so good to check off so many of my finish projects off the list. Let’s check them out!
Continue reading “Floss Friday #96”It has been a busy week at the Reno Quilt Show but we still managed to get some stitching in as we settled down for the night. Not as much as normal, but still a decent amount. We finished our classes yesterday and walked the show floor in just a couple of hours. That turned out to be a good thing since we only had a couple of hours. 😂.
Thursday night we drove over to Gardnerville to stay at a friend’s house and to hit our favorite quilt store – Quilt House. As usual, it was productive and fabric that we haven’t been able to find was found. We will be heading home today. But before we do that: Let’s take a look at this week’s projects.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #95”Hello Everyone! The weather here is San Jose is slightly less sweltering than the last two days. Thank goodness it has at least gotten down to 70 every night. It is very rough when it doesn’t cool down even after the sun has gone down. Next week I will be heading out to Reno for the Reno Quilt Festival and visiting with friends. We haven’t decided whether we are coming home next Friday or Saturday. It is possible I might miss next Friday’s post.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #94”Can you believe today is the last day of May? Tomorrow is June! #wow This week has been full of graduations including my grandson’s girlfriend. The two of them have been running from graduation to graduation all week. Tis the season. It is hard to believe he is only 16 but next year he will be graduating himself (dating older women LOL).
Summer is around the corner. It has been hot this week but not nearly as hot as next week will be. We will be having our first heatwave of the season. That’s always when you find out the AC is broken right? 😂

Continue reading “Floss Friday #92”Welcome to this week’s edition of Floss Friday where I share what cross stitch projects I have been working on this week. If you follow me at all, you know that I just got back on Wednesday from taking the train to and from Seattle to visit my daughter. I tried to stitch on the train, but I got motion sick. I did do a little on the way to Seattle, but I did english paper piecing on the way home.

Continue reading “Floss Friday #91”Happy Mother’s Day to everyone. I am headed to Seattle (via train) to spend the weekend with my daughter and her In-Laws who are here from Germany. I decided on potholders as gifts for Jannes’ family, so I am furiously sewing. LOL!
It has been a pretty productive stitching week even though most nights were just a couple of hours. I think it is because I only worked on aida projects this week. I am always faster with aida and of course lower count. But several of my projects were 18 count.

I did not realize until I was checking my stitching calendar that I had one finish and one start.
Whew! Finding these photos was a chore. A few years ago I didn’t do a good job labelling my photos. I wanted to show how I have finished this Let’s Talk Series when I finished the framed chart in April. I look forward to finishing all of these! I love these colors!
Continue reading “Floss Friday #89”Happy Friday! After a blazing hot weekend, starting Tuesday we went from 80F to 65F. They are saying it should be a dry weekend though. I had heard on the news that we have not had back to back dry weekends since October. That seems so crazy when just a couple of years ago we were in a severe drought. I am thankful that this winter was wet but we were not drowned. Love living in Northern California.
Now to jump into sharing this last week’s stitchy projects I worked on.
I didn’t have any new starts this week but I did have two new finishes.
Continue reading “Floss Friday #88”Hello Everyone! Friday was a travel day and while I meant to write this post on Thursday, it is now Saturday. LOL! I am in Seattle. I had dinner with my daughter last night and breakfast with my brother this morning. Now I am hanging out at the local Starbucks writing this post. It is only drizzling but the weather makes me want to curl up in front of a fire and read. LOL!
