To Do Tuesday #173

Wow this week flew by! I can’t believe it is already Tuesday again. My calendar has been packed with “doing things”. Still attending a number of live Zoom seminars on various subjects which are interesting as well as meeting with vendors for my home as I gear up to do some sewing studio basic upgrades such as wiring and lights. Plus some shades for each of the sewing rooms. PNW is an interesting beast with the darker winters and the very light summers. When the sun shines, it is unbelievably blue skies. When it rains, we have some many shades of gray that nature provides that it could teach fabric & quilt designers a thing or two about color.

I will be linking up with Carol’s Schmilt To Do Tuesday again this week. Just click on Blog Post at the top of the page to find the link to To Do Tuesday for this week.

To Do Tuesday #171

It is here. ☔️. The rain has arrived here in the Pacific Northwest. We even had a little sleet yesterday. They said it would snow. I couldn’t see how that would happen. It is just not cold enough. The cool thing about the rain here is the sun often peeks out through out the day. 🌦️ So cool. I even seen the most amazing rainbows🌈

I plan to link up with Carol who is also in the Pacific Northwest just more North. Check out all the projects.

To Do Tuesday #158

While I did try to hit the studio every day, I only managed to hit it a few days this past week. I was stoked to make it up there as much as I did as were Nala and Simba. They love it when I am in the sewing studio. I am still in the midst of figuring out what got unpacked when my helper was here in October. Honestly, I would rather sew then organize most days so I went with the flow this week.

I will be linking up again this week with Carol over at Quilt Schmilt for To Do Tuesday. Come join us!

Whew! What a chaotic two weeks! My daughter Caitlin is happily married and getting ready to two weeks of camping (and half marathons) with her new hubby at Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. The wedding day went off without a hitch. It was great to see my grandson Shaun after almost six weeks. Here are a few photos from the wedding day:

With two quilt zoom days, I was hoping to have more to share with you. I only worked on foundation paper piecing on Friday. I meant to do some cutting over the weekend, but was distracted with other chores related to moving to a new home. LOL! Monday morning found me scrambling for things to do during my second quilt zoom day this week. A few that you will recognize and others that I worked on because they were unpacked.

I plan on linking up with Carole at Quilt Schmilt again this week for To Do Tuesday. Thanks Carole for hosting!! Come over and check out our small groups list of projects. Feel free to join in.

To Do Tuesday #115

Hello Fall! Love this time of the year! While we do get the trees turning colors, it is just not as much as when I use to live back East. Love all those yellows, golds, oranges, and reds. So fun! The neighborhood is slowly being fully decorated for Halloween. 👻 My neighbors can be so inventive. I have really been enjoying my daily walks.

To Do Tuesday #102

Welcome to this week’s update of all things quilty that I have worked on for the past seven days. I have slowly readjusted to being home. Still feeling a little scattered but working in my sewing room for a few days has gone a long way to settling me down.

The biggest relief is the heat. We finally came out of the heatwave over the weekend and it has been a pleasant 75-80F each day. I don’t have to wait until almost midnight to take my 30 minute walk now. Although, I do find it refreshing to walk before I go to bed and get the blood moving.

I will be linking up with Carol @ Quilt Schmilt for To Do Tuesday. Please check out her blog.
