To Do Tuesday #28

It was nice to be home all week. I was able to clean up a (very) little in my sewing studio and start looking at upcoming projects. Of course, starting a new project requires that I finish something soon!

Last Friday was Zoom Quilting Day. Just want to give a shout out to my compadres Toni & Teri for a successful and fun day!

As usual, I am linking up with Linda at the above web address. Thanks again Linda for being one of the host of To Do Tuesday!

What Got Done This Week!

Wow, way more productive then I hoped I could be. Must be that warm cozy feeling of being home with my babies while it is raining outside. LOL!

  • Nov Monthly Color Challenge cut & ready to sew
  • Finished Row 6 of my Hawaiian quilt and cut some more sashing for row 7
  • Finished my last 2 blocks from the PIQF Mystery Quilt class first half
  • Not only did I finish 2 blue blocks, but also 4 pink blocks, for my churn dash quilt
  • Got Week 2 blocks cut & sewn for the Lori Holt Scrappiness is Happiness QAL.
  • Finally finished round 2 & 3 of Block 20 Lost & Found EPP project.
  • Started block 20 of Ruby’s Garden EPP project.

To Do List Week #28 (Nov 15 – Nov 21, 2022)

Well I will be home most of the week. We head off for another hockey weekend but will only be gone for 2 nights so that is nicer than the Chicago trip. I think there should be plenty of time to get some sewing done after working in some household chores. (Trust me. I would rather be sewing than paying bills, etc)

To Do #1 – 10″ Design boards
10 inch design board waiting to be finished

I have six boards made and two “bindings” ready to be added. It’s just a matter of grabbing the glue gun.

To Do #2 – Cut 6/27 & 6/28 365 blocks

Toni and Teri started this QAL this year and are quickly catching up to me. Toni is in April already and Teri is in February. I need to get a bit more consistent with this one.

To Do #3 – Sew 6/27 & 6/28 365 blocks

And of course sew and sew. These are 6 inch light blocks for my second border for this quilt. I should be getting close to having enough for a border right?

To Do #4 – November Monthly Color Challenge by Patterns by Jen
November Color Challenge, Ready?

I got this one cut last week. I don’t really have brown in my Alison Glass collection, so I improvised with the “Gold” palette.

To Do #5 – Quilt February Table Runner

To Do #6 – Bind Rose Quilt

Ditto……

To Do #7 – Applique EPP star
Future potholders featuring an EPP 8 pointed star

Feeling a little EPPish today having finished one block and started another today. So maybe this is the day I hunker down and get this one appliqued.

To Do #8 – Cut Week 3 block for Lori Holt
Scrapiness is Happiness Week 2

Although week 4 has been released, this one is going to take some time digging through my stash to come up with 25 – 1 1/2 inch squares for this one.

To Do #9 – Sew Round 1 of Ruby’s Garden
Ruby Garden block 20 in progress

The first hexie is attached. When I got back home this morning, I finished gluing all the units so they are now ready to be sewn. This block is all Lori Holt fabric.

To Do #10 – Make 2 Green Churn Dash blocks

I only have 4 blocks left to make this month. The goal is to make 2 this week.

To Do #11 – Row 7 of Hawaiian Quilt
Hawaiian Quilt rows 5 & 6

It’s kind of funny. I don’t ever make just one of these blocks but a whole row at a time. I am doing that mostly so I don’t screw up the order of my rainbow.

To Do #12 – Assemble Rows 5 & 6 of Tula Pink Tiny Beast quilt
First half of Tiny Beast with True Colors

While I just said rows 5 & 6 assemble, this quilt is really ready to be zipped up. Everything is ready to go!

Wrap Up

I’m really hoping to make significant progress on the list this week:

  • Finish 10 inch design boards
  • Cut 2 365 blocks
  • Sew 2 365 blocks
  • Complete November Monthly Color Challenge
  • Quilt February Table Runner
  • Bind Name of the Rose quilt
  • Applique 8 pt star
  • Week 3 of Scrappiness is Happiness by Lori Holt
  • Round 1 of Ruby’s Garden blk 20 (EPP)
  • Make 2 Green Churn Dash blocks
  • Complete Row 7 of the Hawaiian Quilt
  • Assemble rows 5 & 6 of Tula Pink Tiny Beast quilts

Plenty of things to keep me busy before heading out of town on Friday! Good luck this week everyone!

  1. It is good to be home, right? I like those pink churn dashes. Lori Holt’s fabric makes such cute hexies. That’s a pretty gold you’ve chosen for the clove. And the best photo on the page is that of your sweet kitties in their “hammock” – lol! Thank you for sharing with us at To Do Tuesday!

    1. The kitties are going to be sad when I take down their hammock this week to finish off my rose quilt and February table runner. Per my long arm tech, I shouldn’t let them do that, but sometimes you just have to go with the flow.
