Not much to report this week. I was only home a couple days since I last posted and one of those was spent at the Portland Quilt Festival. I packed up and headed to Bend, Oregon for a long weekend. I walked a 5k race called Salmon Run while my daughter ran a half marathon and her husband Jannes ran a 10k. It was fun to hang out with them. We absolutely gorgeous weather.

Can you believe I was too tired after the race to do anything but have lunch and take a nap. We did have some vistors at the hotel though:

I will be linking up with Carol over at Quilt Schmilt again this week even though I don’t have much to share.

Project Updates
I have only worked on one project this past week and that is:
Farmers Wife 1920 block 50 – Honey’s Choice

As part of my recovery I spent some time doing some slow stitching. I have rows 1 and 2 done of this block. Just need to make another row to add as my final row to this block. It has been nice working with purple/lavendar fabrics from Alison Glass.
Weekly To Do List

As you saw, I only did one thing this week from last week’s list:
- Work on Farmers Wife 1920 EPP block 50
So we will be carrying over last week’s list to this week:
- Start cutting 4 1/2 inch blocks for the PNW Hip To Be Square quilt from left over fabric. I was planning on giving this quilt to my daughter & son-in-law as a anniversary gift in May. I was informed that they did not NEED anymore throws but could use a king size quilt 😳
- Quilt Turkey Lurkey wall hanging
- Finish Farmers Wife 1920 EPP blk 0
- Continue working on Stars Aligned pieced border
- Bolt up all that fabric I bought at the Portland Quilt Festival last week
- Put away my Tula Pink Floral Reef fabric which arrived this past week
- Either choose one of the 3 new panels I purchased @ the Quilt Festival OR dig through my stash. I want to throw together a panel quilt using the 3 yard quilt panel leaflet.
- Continue loading fabrics on new mini bolt system.
Musings

It has been a very busy life week. It is good to have a life right? I am looking forward to joining my guild’s Sit n Sew Zoom this Friday afternoon. I am still hoping to get some time in the studio Wednesday or Thursday as well. Yet I need to work in a pedicure for my poor feet after that 5k they survived last weekend. 🐿️
I am off to a zoom call for new owners of Gammill. We are talking bobbins today. Not sure how you can make that into an hour conversation, but I am game! I only have a few more of these I get to attend as my year will be up soon.
Good luck everyone! Have a beautiful week!
