It’s hard to believe that another quarter has flown by. I had 28 projects on my list for second quarter of 2021. I finished four of those. They all happened to be applique projects but they are in use already and look beautiful. Let’s take a look!

EPP DIARY: June 2021
Another month has slipped by with plenty of hockey. A matter of fact there has been so much hockey that I kind of got burnt out for a week. I took a week off and just read instead. LOL!

Time is zipping past at the speed of light. I got my second Covid-19 shot today. In another 2 weeks, I should be 95% protected. Of course everyone wants you to keep doing the masks and everything. I just want to get back to normal and quit living in fear.

Today I received a bouquet of my favorite yellow flowers without a name on the card with awesome words: Thanks are the highest form of thought and gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder. This particular post is so much faster than any of the others mostly because if you are slow stitching, you really can’t have too many ongoing projects if you actually want to finish them. I do really love English Paper Piecing. It is so satisfying seeing all those tiny stitches.

Same as in January, I have focused mostly on my free motion quilting and have really neglected my other sewing projects. You throw in a trip to Florida the last week of February and I really shut down my own progress. #sigh I apologize for the week late post.

Can’t believe it’s already been a month since we last talked about my English Paper Piecing projects. I did get a lot of hockey time which equals piecing time! Although our county shut down, a couple counties away, the rinks were opened so we were able to do two weeks of hockey camp. Thank goodness!

As would be expected, English Paper Piecing is a slow process. I have always done it during hockey practice. With hockey not being normal yet, that has slowed my progress even more! Writing this posts, reminds me that the time I have dedicated this aspect of my quilting has been very minimal in 2020. Something has got to change!
