To Do Tuesday #173

Wow this week flew by! I can’t believe it is already Tuesday again. My calendar has been packed with “doing things”. Still attending a number of live Zoom seminars on various subjects which are interesting as well as meeting with vendors for my home as I gear up to do some sewing studio basic upgrades such as wiring and lights. Plus some shades for each of the sewing rooms. PNW is an interesting beast with the darker winters and the very light summers. When the sun shines, it is unbelievably blue skies. When it rains, we have some many shades of gray that nature provides that it could teach fabric & quilt designers a thing or two about color.

I will be linking up with Carol’s Schmilt To Do Tuesday again this week. Just click on Blog Post at the top of the page to find the link to To Do Tuesday for this week.

To Do Tuesday #171

It is here. ☔️. The rain has arrived here in the Pacific Northwest. We even had a little sleet yesterday. They said it would snow. I couldn’t see how that would happen. It is just not cold enough. The cool thing about the rain here is the sun often peeks out through out the day. 🌦️ So cool. I even seen the most amazing rainbows🌈

I plan to link up with Carol who is also in the Pacific Northwest just more North. Check out all the projects.

To Do Tuesday #144

This week has found me settling into more normal routine except for the daily trips to do kitty chores for the honeymooners who are currently in Grand Teton National Park. It has been a heatwave here but all of us are mustering through. In my truck it hit a high of 99F. Today is way cooler. Such a relief after the past several days.

Grand Teton National Park

My friend Carol Schmilt who is our host for To Do Tuesday in British Columbia has also been affected by the same heat wave. Planning to link up with Carol this week. Check out the blog and the linkup for inspiring ideas.

To Do Tuesday #143

Whew! What a chaotic two weeks! My daughter Caitlin is happily married and getting ready to two weeks of camping (and half marathons) with her new hubby at Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. The wedding day went off without a hitch. It was great to see my grandson Shaun after almost six weeks. Here are a few photos from the wedding day:

To Do Tuesday #138

Hello Everyone! I know it has been almost a month since I posted anything quilty. It has been a busy month. I finished packing up all my stuff and my cats and officially moved April 11th to Vancouver, Washington. I have not got to sew yet this month but this week I finally did some English Paper Piecing just because I needed it.

To Do Tuesday #136

It has been two weeks since I shared with you. Last week got away from me. First I didn’t have anything to share because my machine ended up in the shop for a week. Since I was not sewing, I kind of just got out of my groove. I even have a second machine to sew with. I just didn’t.

Started backing the quilting/crafting stuff today. I spent some time this weekend, pulling together all the pieces and parts for several of the English Paper Piecing projects that were kept in two of my four rooms (dining room & Harry Potter closet). Neither of the these two rooms were single use rooms, so there was other things with sewing stuff. LOL!

To Do Tuesday #122

Welcome to December! Just 22 days until Christmas. For those of you working on handmade projects, good luck!

I have been getting ready for my upcoming to trip to Vancouver, Washington. It looks like the weather will be cooperative which is nice. Made a list of everything that I need to do before I go and the things I need to take for my daughter Caitlin. I haven’t seen her since July so I am looking forward to seeing her in person and spending a little mother-daughter time together while her fiancee is on a work trip.

I will be linking up with Carol at Quilt Schmilt for To Do Tuesday. Join us!

To Do Tuesday #108

Hi Everyone!

This last week we had gorgeous Faux Fall weather and I loved every minute of it. Yesterday and today we are back to summer with today hitting a high of 91 so far. We haven’t even gotten to the hottest part of the day. While I prefer Fall weather, I am going to enjoy these final sparks of summer. We are feeling pretty lucky here in Northern California to only have a few wildfires so far this year. Our neighbors to the north (Washington and Oregon) are not so lucky. The air quality is very poor. Sending rain thoughts their way.
