Wow! I got really hyper focused this week attempting to finish all of my Halloween WIPs. I normally would just work on night on something, but I really really wanted to wrap up these projects.
I considered doing this with my Fall WIPs. I don’t think I am close enough to finish any of them if I want to everything else on my list. Not sure if I will get my November goals posted as I still want to spend some time in the sewing studio today as well. So much to do and so little time (and I am retired!)
November WIPGO Projects

I am totally not prepared to work on these projects this month. LOL! Okay. I am prepared as they are WIPs, I just wasn’t in the mindset to work on them. So I plan to save them for the last half of the month (I think). Let me show you the projects and their status as of November 1st.
Project 3: Shabby Winter Calendar by Cuore e Batticuore

Most of this year I did a day per month so I am actually pretty far along compared to last year. I started this project in 2020. Originally I used linen but it was way to hard for me (at the time). I love this project and the purple fabric I picked. Everything really pops on it. Each day is very detailed and can take 2-3 days to finish. With that in mind, I made my WIPGO goal to finish 3 days which would be Day 16, 17, & 18. It is very exciting to think I may finish this one in 2025.
Project 22: March Month 2 Month Barn by Stitching with the Housewives.

I started this project in July 2025 after finishing up February. I tried something new this year which is finishing a month in a series before starting the next one in line. Not sure if it is really working for me. After August, I pulled this out of my rotation so I could focus on Fall projects (my FAVORITE!). It’s number came up anyway. I have decided that this project’s goal will be 2000 stitches which general equates to 5 stitching nights.
Starts & Finishes
With the press to finish Halloween projects, I have some finishes to share with you but no new starts. I am planning at least one next week and maybe two. I would like to get a few last minute fall starts so I am setup for next year.
FINISH: Pop of Halloween by Bent Creek

I got started on this one last week and my enthusiasm carried through to this week. I am very happy to have finished another “Pop of” tree. This has been a very fun series working with pearl cotton thread over 2 on 2o ct linen. Just love the end results.
FINISH: October Calendar Crates by Stitching with the Housewives

It took 3 nights of working on this but I finally finished it! I originally started this in August and it was a WIPGO project that month. So not too bad to finish it in three months for me. I am hoping to throw in the November Calendar Crates as a fall start for next year. (I am giving up my work on the next one until it is done.). My favorite thing to stitch was the flying witch on her broom with her cat. I think it is adorable. Although the Black Cat Broom Co sign is cute as a … kitten. This was stitched on 14ct chalkboard black aida with the called for Classic Colorworks floss.
WIP Updates
With so much time spent working on finishing the Halloween projects, that did not leave much time for other projects. I spent the rest of the week getting in some stitches on my other fall projects.
November Stackables by It’s Sew Emma (Fat Quarter Shop)

This is the 11th in this series of 12. I plan on pushing to finish this one so I can start the last one in December. This week I worked on the pumpkin. They did a great job with the stem and foliage for this pumpkin. It really adds to the scenery. I look forward to working on this one again soon.
House on Pumpkin Hill by Hello Liz Matthews

This week I finished the pumpkin hill and picked up working on the oval border of leaves. I had the dark green on the needle so when I got to a leaf with the dark green I added it as well as sewing the stalk & leaves on the sunflower that I will enjoy adding. I am keeping my fingers crossed that my circle meets up. At least if it is off, it should be easy to fix. I started this fall project last year as a “fall start”. While I wish I could finish it this year, it is highly unlikely that will happen. There is approximately three more nights of stitching. I am not willing to never say never though.
Stitch Quarterly: Home Grown by It’s Sew Emma (FQS)

This was a WIPGO start in September and I am very pleased with the progress I have made with this start. It’s has about five nights of stitching left so I have already moved it to my Hold WIP sections and don’t plan on working on this again until it comes up for WIPGO or next fall. I did like being able to outline a letter and then just filling in. After I finish the “E”, all that will be left is the Sunflowe “O”.
Reflections & Plans

I still haven’t finalized WHAT exactly I think I might be able to do this month, so we are sticking to the short term thinking again this week. The plans for this coming week are:
- 2025 San Jose Moon Phases
- November Stackables
- Field Guide to Dragons
- Fruit of Plenty
- Crescent City Velaris
- Stitch Quaker
- The Postman
- Start of Pumpkin Pals
- Kit up a few more fall projects for possible starts
This all seems a bit much. We shall see how it all works out. Did I mention I was saving the WIPGO projects for the second half of the month? I think I am going to have to go back to doing a one and a half moons every day. After doing so well, I totally fell off the wagon in October on the 2025 moon phases

I have started thinking about my 2026 temperature cross stitch project. I was planning doing the galaxy that Caitlin did already in 2023. I realized when I started looking at the chart that this is a leap year chart. I could not figure out how to adapt it to a non leap year project.

So….I think I will do this one in 2027 instead and do the one that Caitlin wanted to do next in 2026 instead – Milky Way Galaxy. I looked at both the Max temps only and the min/max version. I like the Max only version better I think. What do you think?
Time to head home to get a little sewing time. I need to work on my Turkey Lurkey. If you are wondering what I am talking about, check out my quilting post here
Have a great weekend everyone! Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you next week.

Oh boy, so many beautiful stitch projects on the go!! I love seeing how everyone manages their WIPGO projects. I haven’t dived into doing that yet. I hadn’t seen that Halloween Bent Creek, I still have their Winter one on my wish list. And a temperature piece every year?!? I haven’t even started my first one, LOL!!
