To Do Tuesday #102

Welcome to this week’s update of all things quilty that I have worked on for the past seven days. I have slowly readjusted to being home. Still feeling a little scattered but working in my sewing room for a few days has gone a long way to settling me down.

The biggest relief is the heat. We finally came out of the heatwave over the weekend and it has been a pleasant 75-80F each day. I don’t have to wait until almost midnight to take my 30 minute walk now. Although, I do find it refreshing to walk before I go to bed and get the blood moving.

To Do Tuesday #100

It is hard to believe that I have been posting To Do Tuesday for two years already. I know I have missed a week here and there. Crazy right?

This past week was a full schedule. I managed to get stuff done even with running around all week catching up on errands. Let’s take a look at what I did this past week.

To Do Tuesday #99

Hello Everyone! Another week is in the books. Last week was spent in Reno taking a couple of classes at Quilt Festival before walking the floor. We checked out the vendors as well as all the quilts on display. I took a class from Laura Heine called Teeny Tiny Elephant Collage (class sample above). Check out what Mary Elizabeth and I got done in class.

To Do Tuesday #97

Hello Everyone! Today is the beginning of a predicted week long heat wave 🥵 so I am currently in my local Starbucks staying cool watching the blue sky slowly become hazy with the heat. I am thankful that I actually have AC which was not the case before this house. #thankful

We had a gorgeous Memorial Day Weekend where we remembered our veterans ~ those who lost their lives here and abroad in defense of this great country we live in. Thank you for your service. I appreciate my freedom with every breath I take. You are remembered!

To Do Tuesday #95

Hi Everyone! We are having a beautiful spring day here in San Jose. It is the high 70’s here and so pleasant with a blue sky. I am enjoying every minute of it. I visited my sister Dorothy in Modesto, California which can be very hot, but instead it was a beautiful day which we spent most of in her backyard. I loved the visit.

To Do Tuesday #94

Hello from Seattle! I meet the German In-Laws. As expected everyone was very nice. They have a packed schedule trying to squeeze in as much as possible in their trip. I gave them the potholders that I finished hours before boarding the train on Friday (😂). They seemed to be a hit. I got German chocolate in return from their hometown. I haven’t tried it yet, but I do love chocolate.

To Do Tuesday #93

Hello Everyone! The sun is out and shining here after a weekend of rain. Love the clear blue skies. I am running around like a chicken with their head cut off as I am preparing for Amtrak trip to Seattle to meet my daughter’s future in laws. We were chatting and the mom really liked the quilt I had given her son and the other quilts that my daughter has of mine. She even asked if she could have one. I asked Caitlin should I bring one? She said they didn’t have room to get it home so probably not. So I sit here wondering should I take one anyway just in case? Should I make something small like potholders? Decisions. Decisions. I leave in 3 days. Whew!

To Do Tuesday #92

Can you say road trip?! I got back last night from a road trip to Paso Robles, California. Such a fun area. I enjoyed every moment.
